#Self-discovery, improved sociability #Childcare volunteer experience, bonding with the children #Warm care, enjoyable time

|
It was my first time traveling alone so I was very nervous, but after arriving I quickly relaxed thanks to the friendly management system and was able to adapt to the work quickly. I was very happy because of people''s warm consideration, and I realized I am more social and like children more than I thought. The children also lowered their guard toward me quickly, so I felt very comfortable volunteering with them!

# I love traveling and trying new experiences!

Hello! I''m Jeon Yubeom, and I love traveling and learning new things.I decided to participate because I wanted to gain new experiences and feelings through overseas volunteer work.
At first I wondered whether I could adapt well to such a different environment, but that worry faded quickly!
*For Jeon Yubeom, who loves to travel, a chance to take on a new challenge we recommended a tailored gap year plan through consulting :) Want a customized plan tailored to your situation? We strongly recommend a 1:1 consultation with a gap year specialist!
The sure way to change my life: Gap year 1:1 consulting
# I wanted to rediscover myself and learn in various environments.

Through this childcare volunteer program in Vietnam, I wanted to rediscover myself and learn in various environments!
# I realized I''m more social and that I like children more than I thought.

Whenever I needed help, my roommates, the coordinators, and the other project participants were always there with me. Also, I tried to speak with foreigners as much as possible and not be afraid to try different things.Especially on Mondays, eating and singing with all the participants and talking with new participants was really enjoyable, and I think it will be a lasting memory! By cutting down on time spent worrying and acting directly like this, all the miscellaneous thoughts disappeared!
# What is a day like volunteering in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam?

I got up early in the morning, washed up and prepared for work, then cared for the children until 11. After that, there was a three-hour lunch and rest period, and when work ended around 4, I returned to the accommodation.
After that, there was free time! On weekdays after work I visited many famous places in Vietnam, and on weekends I spent almost whole days excitedly hanging out with friends. :)
# My personal Vietnam Ho Chi Minh volunteer preparation TIP!

Before going to Vietnam, I received a pre-orientation through Gapyear and completed preparations according to the required procedures. Thanks to the checklist provided by Gapyear, I was able to prepare perfectly without any mistakes!

Experience★★★★★
: It was so much fun and filled with worry-free moments that it was hard to find any flaws.
Learning★★★★★
: I was able to learn new things about myself.
Environment★★★★
: It wasn''t hotel-level clean, but it was a cozy and quiet environment.
Safety★★★★★
: You only needed to be careful when crossing the street; otherwise it was a safe place.
Leisure ★★★★★
: AloneWhether I was alone or with a group, there was enough free time to relax and enjoy.
