나답게, 단단하게, 즐겁게

    # I wanted to properly make a new resolution through this project.

Hello. I''m an ordinary person who''s been working for five years. ^^

The reason I joined this project was, in short, that it seemed like it wouldn''t feel burdensome to just start. ^^

After many years of working, I felt something was missing. I didn''t have the courage to quit my job, but I needed an outlet to properly learn something or think about my life.

So I used to browse the Korea Gap Year website. But because of work I couldn''t take a long vacation, and I kept wanting to try something short. In the meantime I found this project, and since it runs on Saturdays without pressure, I applied right away.

To be honest, I don''t particularly like exercise, but I signed up on impulse because I thought challenging something I hadn''t tried might be a new stimulus. Above all, since it starts on Saturday mornings, I expected that exercising on a weekend morning would make the weekend feel more worthwhile.

I wanted a new stimulus. Somehow I felt that if I stimulated my body, I''d feel like starting something.Actually, when the weather is cold and I stay at home, there are times I don''t feel like doing anything. Now that I''m older ^^ even at New Year I don''t really feel like taking on challenges... Through this project I wanted to properly make a new resolution.

Of course I was also interested in side benefits like dieting or posture correction haha, but those things require first wanting to try something... I wanted to really firm up my resolve.

    # The atmosphere was that everyone worked hard together, and that felt very comfortable.

It was really good to properly learn about my body. The instructor pointed things out one by one, so I had time to understand how my posture was wrong and what the problems were. After learning about my body, I definitely felt motivated about dieting and posture correction.

And since the people who came to this class were all beginners, the atmosphere of everyone working hard together was very comfortable. When you go to a gym, there are people who are good and I worried a lot about whether I was doing well or what others thought of me... Here there''s none of that.

Since everyone was learning the movements for the first time, they were just straining and working hard. And when they measured each other''s workout amounts, they got really serious... In any case, thanks to the atmosphere of everyone working hard, I think I worked harder too.

    # The instructor is full of warmth and humanity!!

He is full of humanity!! He knows our limits well haha, and instead of pushing us too hard he tells us to do only what we can.Because everyone''s exercise ability is different, he told us to pay attention to our own bodies rather than following others, which was very comforting.

At the gym I sometimes felt ashamed from always comparing myself to others, but the instructor doesn''t criticize you for not being able to do something. On the contrary, he tells you to do only as much as you can and gradually increase it. I was very moved.

He also shares a lot of practical information and teaches professional knowledge in an easy-to-understand way. In particular, he taught many truly valuable things you can''t hear anywhere else, which made me trust him more.

If you just participate actively, the instructor will take care of everything. Don''t worry too much about others and just participate. And actually, other people are also focusing only on themselves trying to do the movements the instructor taught, so they don''t pay much attention to how you''re doing. Just enthusiastically do what the instructor says and enjoy it, and if you have questions you can ask anytime!

    # Just that made me feel really proud, like I had challenged myself and accomplished something.

After learning where my body was off and which of my habits were wrong, I found myself checking my posture from time to time during daily life. I also took opportunities to exercise whenever I could. I''m not the type who particularly loves exercise, so there wasn''t a dramatic change like ''I love exercise now'' (I didn''t expect that to begin with ^^).

I found that exercise was more fun than I expected. So I''m thinking of learning one form of exercise now. Above all, after finishing the project, I felt really proud that I had challenged myself and accomplished something.

It was such a shame that it was only four weeks. Four weeks went by much faster than I expected. I wish there were a longer eight-week program or an advanced class! If an advanced class is offered, I''ll definitely take it again!
