    # I applied because I wanted to correct my neck posture more than to exercise.

    Hello, I am a 21-year-old university student.

Looking through the Korea Gap Year website is my hobby, and one day I came across a new project I wasn''t familiar with and learned about home training. Since I already exercise regularly, I applied mainly to correct my neck posture rather than to exercise.

I''ve had severe forward head (turtle neck) symptoms since middle school, and as I advanced to high school and studied with poor posture, the condition became so severe that these days...When I was stressed, my neck would start hurting; because my neck hurt, my lower back hurt, and because my lower back hurt, my legs would go numb.

By the time it became difficult even to sit, I wanted to learn the correct posture through this project and, even if it wouldn''t be cured...I applied to learn various ways to prevent this from getting worse in my current condition.

    # In short, it was very good.

In short, it was very good. Just...They didn''t just teach posture and exercise techniques; they first explained what the muscles and bones look like, then taught posture and exercise methods so I could think about how the muscles move and later create my own exercise routine.

Of course, constantly looking at muscle names could be boring and tiring at times, but they explained it in an engaging way and I''m very satisfied because I can apply this knowledge later.

At first the price was a bit burdensome when I applied, but after finishing the class I didn''t feel the money was wasted at all. I was able to learn exactly what I needed at the time I needed it.

The teacher was really warm and attentive, and I appreciate that they answered all my questions. They also addressed personal questions I had—for example, ambiguous topics that are hard to find accurate information on, like the relationship between exercise and alcohol or exercise and smoking, which was really helpful.

    # I''m truly grateful for this great opportunity and will participate again when there''s another class.

Participating in a 4-week project didn''t suddenly cure a neck that had been hurting for years. I didn''t expect that either. It seems to depend on the individual. I practiced various exercises on my own, and it''s true that I''m a bit more comfortable than before.

I learned exactly which postures strain my neck, I tried to correct those habits, and I still live being mindful of them. Since my neck was damaged over nearly six years, I plan to work on it properly again for six years.

I''m really grateful for this great opportunity and will join again when there''s another class.

What I liked : It told me what exercises suit me and allowed me to accurately assess my current condition. Also, through the InBody test and classes where I could directly feel my bones and muscles, I was able to clearly understand which areas were problematic, and it was a valuable time to learn various corrective postures.

What I realized : I learned that my condition is not just neck pain but an imbalance throughout my body. I think it was an opportunity to properly learn the importance of correct posture.

Tips for future participants : Ask lots of questions. They really tell you everything. You have to ask a lot and practice a lot to get the most out of it. You can do it!
