나답게, 단단하게, 즐겁게

Among the participants who took the class with me, there were people with very severe pelvic imbalance and some who were young but had bad backs; each person really had their own problems, but the instructor kindly pointed out every issue and also taught corrective stretches.

You get exercise, posture correction, and a more balanced figure! It was a perfect three-in-one class.

    # After taking the class, it was of such quality that the price really didn''t feel like a waste!

Hello! I''m a 30-year-old office worker who took the home training class this time.

At some point my daily routine became home-office-home-office. In my 20s I could manage without exercise, but perhaps because of being 30 or the pressure of age, my stamina suddenly dropped when I turned 30; I got tired quickly with even a little exertion, and I started feeling that my body didn''t feel refreshed when I woke up in the morning, which made me decide to start exercising.

Above all, I really love eating!!!!!! I wanted to do something about my body that was gradually gaining weight…….

But I had never exercised properly before, so I didn''t even know which workouts to choose, and personal training was much more expensive than I expected (I''m still a working person who has to save money…ㅜㅜ). I couldn''t even bring myself to start exercising.

I tried following home training videos at home, but I always quit in less than a week, and when I was feeling lost about where and how to start exercising, I saw the home training class on the Korea Gap Year website and it was exactly the program I wanted, so I signed up right away.

To be honest, I hesitated a bit at first when I saw the price, but after taking the class it was of such quality that the price really didn''t feel like a waste! I''m even at the point where I''d like to take another class if there''s a next one!

    # I wanted to learn an exercise method that suited me.

I tried following home training videos at home, but I had no idea whether I was doing the postures correctly, what benefit they provided, or whether the exercises I was doing were strength training or cardio—since I had no concept of these things, I wanted to learn from the basics, step by step.I wanted to learn an exercise method that suited me.

Above all, I thought that working with participants similar to me would boost motivation, and I could receive instruction from a professional trainer at a relatively low cost per hour, so this time I wanted to learn properly so I could continue exercising at home as well.My goal was to steadily build a regular exercise habit.

    # You get exercise, posture correction, and a more balanced figure! It was a perfect three-in-one class.

I used to think exercise meant going to the gym and working out hard, but it was great to learn that there are many exercises you can easily do in daily life. Especially since they also taught posture correction, I realized how much I''ve been torturing my body by living with poor posture.

Since taking the posture-correction classes, I''ve been making a lot of effort to change my daily habits on my own ^_^  Because I use a laptop, I always had forward head posture and back pain, but as soon as I took the class I set up a laptop stand, and I used to have a habit of crossing my legs while sitting—now even if I cross my legs unconsciously, I immediately think ''Ah! My pelvis shouldn''t twist!'' and quickly uncross them!

I also liked that during the InBody assessment they explained my body type and the direction of exercise I should take to improve. [They said,] ''Most of you have a lot of body fat; do muscle training.'' Beyond that, they carefully showed how to read the InBody and checked each individual''s situation thoroughly, so I was able to properly understand the condition of my body.

Also, during each class''s stretching and practice time they always carefully watched our exercise postures, pointed out areas that were imbalanced due to incorrect posture one by one, and taught exercises to improve them, which I appreciated.Among the participants who took the class with me, there were people with very severe pelvic imbalance and some who were young but had bad backs; each person really had their own problems, but the instructor kindly pointed out every issue and also taught corrective stretches.

You get exercise, posture correction, and a more balanced figure! It was a perfect three-in-one class.

And the instructor personally laid out the mats during class and brought different small exercise props to each session, so the class wasn''t boring and was fun! When I thought of exercise equipment I only imagined dumbbells or treadmills, but I realized that even small items can be used properly if you understand the exercise principles and basics.

Every class was so fun and there were so many great things!!!!! I had never exercised properly, but through this class I became interested in exercise and was able to exercise properly and enjoyably :)

    # I was moved that they really worked hard preparing the class!

I thought the trainer would be big and intimidating, but they weren’t — instead they were relaxed and friendly and explained things one by one, which I liked. Also, although the instructor liked exercising, they weren’t someone who had trained professionally.

Maybe because they had worked in an office before becoming a trainer, they understood beginners’ feelings very well and seemed to run the class more simply and enjoyably. The various experiences and anecdotes the instructor occasionally shared were fun, and I was touched that they really prepared the class so diligently!

Their passion for teaching exercise properly was so strong that sometimes I wondered whether I was taking a workout class or a medical lecture^^; (They said that to teach exercise properly you need to know the technical terms. But it wasn’t difficult at all — they tried to explain things as simply as possible with pictures and videos~)

Because of this I felt like I was learning it more properly!

#I plan to keep exercising consistently from now on!

Don’t feel too pressured about learning exercise — think of it as something easy and comfortable! It was hard to wake up on Saturday mornings, but after exercising in the morning I felt proud!

If I justified sleeping in on Saturday because I’d worked hard during the week, ate brunch late and lazed around, I’d end the day feeling comfortable but like I’d wasted the weekend. But doing home training and loosening each muscle from Saturday morning made my body feel lighter! It relieved the fatigue accumulated during the week and gave me energy, so I had more time in the afternoon to use for myself and was able to get things done that I’d been putting off!!

Honestly, most participants, myself included, didn’t know anything about exercise at all, and because of that, even more...They carefully and thoroughly taught us from the basics, so start exercising before it’s too late!!! My thoughts about exercise changed a lot! I thought you had to spend a lot of time and effort and do difficult workouts for it to count as exercise, but I learned that even proper stretching with correct posture is exercise. And...I realized that exercise is fun, so I’ll keep exercising regularly going forward!
