From now on, I willI will continue job hunting, and I''ve come up with one goal.My goal moving forward is to keep finding and taking on other kinds of work—like jobs in the travel industry or food-making—where I can interact with people and express my energy while working.

    - "First Step to Finding a Happy Job" / Ha Seung-ho, Gap-Year Gapper

Q.What made you decide to participate in the course?

I''m currently deferring graduation and preparing for employment. But I didn''t want to work in a field that used my computer engineering major, so while wondering what I should do, I found and decided to take this class.

    Q. Before participating in the course, was there anything you hoped to gain or a goal you wanted to achieve?

To find the kind of work I want to do. I wanted to know what I''m good at and what methods exist to find such work.

    Q. During the course, what class content impressed you the most?

It was good to be introduced to the latest employment trends, but I especially liked the lessons that taught various job-seeking methods.

Also, on the last day we had a guest lecture by a headhunter, and that opportunity helped broaden my perceptions of foreign-affiliated companies. It was impressive because we heard practical stories that could dispel preconceived notions about foreign companies—such as assumptions about salary, benefits, or the necessity of being fluent in English.

    Q. What do you think are the strengths or special qualities of this course?

First, it opens up diverse perspectives on work, and it shows that there are various ways to get hired beyond just public recruitment. It also broadened my understanding of startups. It felt like it covered many things we didn''t know but needed to know.

Q.Comparing before and after taking this course, are there any changes?

Before, I would often apply impulsively just because a big or well-known foreign company name showed up on sites like SpecUp, and then get rejected. Now I actively job-hunt through SNS and channels I hadn''t known about before, and I also learned how to use Incruit and Saramin properly.

    Q. I highly recommend "First Steps to Finding a Happy Job" to students like this!

Those who are worried about their career path, feel their major doesn''t suit them, or are unsure what kind of work to do.

    Q.What are your future plans?

I''ll continue job hunting, and I''ve come up with one goal.

My future goal is to continue searching for and challenging myself with other kinds of work—like jobs in the travel industry or food-making—that let me interact with people and channel my energy while working.
