Before taking the course, I knew nothing and had the same thoughts as everyone else. I wondered what qualifications I should build and what I should improve to get into a good company. But while taking the class, I heard various stories about work and received information about different fields, and through broad experiences I decided I should set my future career path.

    Q. What made you decide to participate in the course?

I was a blank slate when it came to job hunting.

I planned to take a leave of absence to prepare for employment, but I had no experience. Feeling at a loss, I saw information about the course on Facebook and thought it would suit me, so I applied.

    Q. Before joining the course, was there anything you hoped to gain or goals you wanted to achieve?

Before taking the course, I knew nothing and had the same thoughts as everyone else. I wondered what qualifications I should build and what I should improve to get into a good company. But while taking the class I heard various stories about work and received information about different fields, and through broadexperienceand through those experiences I decided I should set my future career path.

    Q. Which part of the course left the biggest impression on you?

The early part of the class was a process of understanding myself. The teacher asked questions about my psychology, giving me a chance to reflect; I had never done that before, so for the first time I faced myself thinking, ''So this is the kind of person I am.'' We also had time to think and talk about people I dislike. It turned out those were my own flaws that I had disliked and tried to ignore.

    Q. What do you think are the strengths or special qualities of this course?

First, there were only a small number of students, so we could share our stories with each other and communication with the instructor was smooth. Also, the teacher answered in an approachable manner without distance, so I could comfortably ask questions I was curious about.

    Q. Comparing before and after taking this course, have there been any changes?

I had thought I should do an internship before. But while taking the class I realized that I had been limiting internships, volunteer work, and extracurricular activities to being merely for my resume rather than for experience.

Also, because my father works at a large company, I thought I absolutely had to go to a big company too. I thought that if I got a job at a large company my parents would be happy, I would be happy, and it would be like the correct answer in life. But after taking the class I realized that isn''t happiness. Looking back at the activities I had done, they were focused on making my parents happy, and I was under the illusion that they were for myself.illusionI was under that illusion. Through this class I broke that illusion and shifted the focus to myself.

    Q. ''The first step to finding happy work'' — I strongly recommend this to students like these!

Students who, like me, are completely blank when thinking about career or employment. And those who want to break out of a framework centered on their parents or who have doubts about that focus.

Q.What are your plans for the future?

First, I''ll return to school, attend classes diligently, earn many credits, and I want to travel next year.

Because I still don''t know what I''m good at, I will try various experiences. One of them is travel.

TravelWhile traveling, I want to meet a variety of people. I want to see people in different situations, hear their stories, and see how they live. Also, since this will be my first time traveling alone, I think that planning and carrying it out will itself be an experience that takes courage.

    Q. What does this course mean to me?

If I were to compare myself before the class, I was like a stagnant pool.

So I felt pressured, wondering if I alone was trapped while everyone else flowed out to the sea. But as I took the class, it felt like a channel opened up so I could flow, even if slowly. It was also a great opportunity that freed me, even a little, from psychological pressure and put me in a state where I could try various things and take on challenges.
