16 Weeks: First Steps to Finding a Happy Job with Instructor Choi Kyung-hee

#Overcame lethargy; became more proactive #How to find a job that suits me #Confidence and certainty about my future

  • What impressed me during the lecture was that, using a method I had never encountered before, we were able to derive the working environment each individual wanted. I have a bit of indecisiveness and had trouble prioritizing, so I was worried, but it was surprising and very helpful to be able to discover what suits me through this method.

    - ''16 Weeks: The First Step to Finding Happy Work'' with instructor Choi Kyung-hee

What made you decide to participate in the ''16 Weeks: The First Step to Finding Happy Work'' lecture?
I felt that my major didn''t suit me, and I started thinking about employment and taking a leave of absence. Then...I realized I hadn''t paid much attention to myself and hadn''t seriously considered what I liked. I thought I couldn''t keep putting off thinking about a job that suits me, so I applied for the course and was fortunate to be able to participate.

Among the 16-week lectures you attended, was there any lecture content that was most impressive to you?
It was a class where we drew mind maps. We wrote down three things we like or are good at, then wrote the motivations and reasons for liking them, and used those to explore the job I want. When Instructor Choi Kyung-hee directly gave examples—such as saying that based on what other students wrote, certain people would work really well together, or that someone would achieve a lot as a leader because of certain traits—I could relate to it and it was entertaining. What made that lecture especially impressive was that, using a method I hadn''t encountered before, we derived the working environment each person desired. I have a bit of indecisiveness and had trouble prioritizing, so I was worried, but it was surprising and very helpful to be able to discover what suits me through this method.

In the 16-week lectures you attended, what do you think are the strengths or special features of this lecture?
    1. Instructor Choi Kyung-hee, who made it possible to come to the lectures with a light and joyful heart
    2. A small number of participants that you can''t find at university
    3. The lectures were held in the afternoon
    4. Instructor Choi Kyung-hee''s anecdotes
    5. Reading the book beforehand and discussing it with each other

''16 Weeks: The First Step to Finding Happy Work''—I strongly recommend it to these students!
Students who are interested in the job market; students who want to actively find or create a job that suits them; all students who are concerned about their career paths

MaLastly, please talk about the changes in your thoughts or actions resulting from the 16-week lecture.

    - Change in prejudice about occupations

    Before the 16-week lecture

    After the 16-week lecture

Ordinary office workers all [work] in dull work environments

    will work reluctantly.

I am trying to view any job without prejudice.

    - Changes in future life and mindset

     Before the 16-week lecture

    After the 16-week lecture

Because of worries about being in a major that doesn''t suit me, I had no motivation,

and a vicious cycle of lacking confidence continued.

Based on what I learned through the lectures, I will actively...

seek out a job that suits me.

Also, I plan to use my leave of absence period to gain a lot of experience,

I am confident that I will do better in my future school life.
