    I decided to go on a language study trip to celebrate my 60th birthday."

     

     

    🤔 Worries and Courage: Reasons for Choosing the Gap Year Program
    I had many concerns such as age, cost, and being apart from family, but after reading reviews of the Gap Year program I became confident I could try it safely. Gap Year provided the necessary information from preparation to local life, and when I arrived in Montpellier, the warm hospitality of my 88-year-old homestay host moved me deeply.
     
     
     
    🗣️ Language and Communication: A Connection Beyond Age
    I was able to experience enjoyable communication by using expressions I learned at the language school. Through everyday life in Montpellier (visiting bakeries, dining with friends), I savored a relaxed pace and experienced a new culture.
    The language school had students of various nationalities and ages. I made friends such as a 65-year-old retired English gentleman and a 70-year-old Italian man, and once again realized that age is just a number.
    Also, through the school''s activity program, I was able to travel to beautiful destinations in southern France and create precious memories.

    I recommend living in Montpellier for a month as a 60th birthday gift! I realized that spending time alone and talking with myself is important. I think Gap Year is a magnifying glass that reflects my dreams — it helped me rediscover and realize dreams I had forgotten. Through Gap Year, I was able to discover inner desires and feel happiness.
