Project Introduction
1. Learn True Generosity from Globally Respected NGO Leaders Chosen by CNN!
She served for 12 years at the UN Embassy in Cambodia and was deeply committed to children's rights and women's social advancement. Witnessing children scouring garbage heaps daily to earn just one dollar, she realized that education was the only way to lift them out of poverty. This led her to establish a free education school. By persistently explaining to children and local residents why education was essential, she has graduated over 1,000 students from three schools, giving them dreams and a future. Her efforts in child and women’s rights earned her a spot among CNN HEROES TOP 10. Her tireless efforts and generosity for children's and women's rights, recognized worldwide, will surely inspire you. Simply working as an intern with her and sharing stories will be a new source of motivation!
2. She is so well-known in the country that she's even featured in local documentaries! Let’s go directly to the documentary set!
The passion and love of the NGO leader for the children in garbage villages were covered in a documentary, which received widespread attention domestically. Now it’s our turn to visit the actual locations, see, feel, and experience everything firsthand. Through this internship, you won’t just be volunteering but actively helping improve the rights of children and women and raising global awareness of these issues. Take this opportunity to become a documentary director and protagonist yourself!
Project Activities
Give Light to Children in Cambodia!
In a place once filled with stench and poverty, a garbage dump has been transformed into a school and orphanage where hope now flourishes. Over 1,000 children who once picked through garbage now hold pencils, receive education, and dream of hope and miracles. Join us in this beautiful process of creating an environment where children can smile, escaping the long tunnel of despair.

The representative of the organization here is very famous, so many foreigners from around the world come to volunteer. It truly felt that they love Cambodia and are working for the human rights of children and women. - yuna87
I was recommended by the representative to become more proactive because I was quite shy and reserved. Through interacting with many people and engaging in various activities, I gained a lot of confidence and developed a broader perspective on the world. - dream_520
Volunteering with this organization was truly an honor and felt like being a necessary part of the world. It was a unique and unforgettable life challenge. Volunteering here is an experience everyone should have and can experience. - lily

Small Tips on Transportation in Cambodia
Cambodia's transportation infrastructure is limited, and public transport systems like buses and subways are not well-developed. The main modes of transport are motorcycle taxis, where you sit on the back of a motorcycle, and tuk-tuks, which are three-wheeled vehicles adapted from motorcycles. Motorcycle taxis are very unsafe, so it is recommended to use tuk-tuks for safety, even though they might be slightly more expensive. Unlike regular taxis, tuk-tuks do not have fixed rates, and prices are negotiated with the driver each time. Recently, mobile apps are commonly used to book and pay for tuk-tuks.
The typical fare for a one-way trip starts at about 2 USD and varies greatly depending on distance, time of day, and the number of people. You might find Cambodia's transport system confusing at first, but understanding the local transport system and culture can make your stay in Cambodia more enjoyable.
