1. Kaohsiung Confucius Temple
Built in imitation of Song Dynasty architectural style, this grand and dignified temple is the largest Confucian temple in Taiwan. Next to the arched bridge inside the temple is a bronze relief depicting Confucius, China’s greatest philosopher. Events are held here on Teacher’s Day, September 28, to commemorate Confucius’s birthday. Another must-see attraction is the dragon and tiger statues in front of the Kaohsiung Confucius Temple. It is said that people who enter through the dragon’s mouth and exit through the tiger’s mouth will receive good luck, so the site is always crowded. Come to the Kaohsiung Confucius Temple to absorb the tiger’s energy!
