This project is a volunteer program conducted by a kidney care NGO located in Singapore. The organization provides integrated medical support services such as dialysis and treatment for patients with renal failure. Even without experience in the medical field, you can participate in various areas—caring for patients at dialysis centers, supporting kidney disease prevention education and campaigns, and more—and the volunteer hours are flexible, so you can take part without much burden.
1. A small but significant help that saves patients' lives
Renal failure is a condition in which the kidneys cannot perform their functions and therefore cannot filter wastes and excess fluids from the body. Many patients with renal failure rely on regular hemodialysis treatments to maintain their daily lives. The dialysis process, which occurs several times a week and lasts for hours each session, places a heavy physical and mental burden on patients, and consistently coping with it is never easy.
This project is a volunteer activity that helps patients with renal failure receive treatment in a mentally and physically stable environment. Simply talking with patients while their blood is being dialyzed can provide psychological comfort and help relieve feelings of social isolation. Please help make patients’ days a little more comfortable and warm.
2. Medical volunteering that anyone can participate in!
You do not need professional medical knowledge or experience. Anyone with a warm heart who cares about socially vulnerable people and wants to help those in need can join. Volunteers assist with moving patients, supporting basic measurements before and after dialysis, and reducing patients’ anxiety through emotional interaction—small but essential tasks for patients. Activities are carried out under the guidance of local medical staff in a safe environment, and you will have the opportunity to interact with volunteers of various nationalities. Through caring for patients and spending time assisting in treatment, you will discover your own growth. Join good people in making a positive impact and extend a warm helping hand to those in need.
3. A new routine beginning in safe and peaceful Singapore
Singapore is regarded as one of the best countries to live in Asia due to its safe public order, clean environment, and comfortable living conditions. In particular, its strict laws and penalties make it a place where you can travel alone or walk around at night with confidence. Many people who have traveled to or volunteered in Singapore say they felt safe and comfortable. A major advantage of this project is its relaxed activity hours and flexible scheduling. Plan a life filled with volunteering and travel in Singapore, where vibrant city scenes and tranquil nature coexist. Use this time to understand and discover yourself and to design the direction you want to take.
