Project Introduction
Japan, a country both near and distant, offers the advantage of learning Japanese relatively quickly due to its structural similarities with Korean, including syntax and arrangement. Moreover, exposure to Japanese dramas and anime allows learners to naturally immerse themselves in Japanese culture and language, making the learning process enjoyable and accessible. This project is designed for those who have hesitated to go abroad and meet new friends or gain diverse experiences due to language barriers. It's also for those who want to learn a new language but are unsure how to start. If you're interested in gaining experience in specialized fields such as manga, beauty, cuisine, tourism, and more in Japan, this project is for you.
After learning Japanese, why not challenge yourself with a working holiday in Japan? We can help connect you with job opportunities regardless of your proficiency level in Japanese, even if you are a beginner. You can build sufficient Japanese language skills to work in the service industry through short-term language courses. Working in service roles will provide you with opportunities to meet many people and directly apply the Japanese you have learned. Enjoy living freely in Japan with minimal costs, meeting new friends and experiencing the culture to the fullest!

Project Activities
Tokyo, where this project takes place, is not only the capital of Japan where nationals reside but also home to people from various countries around the world. It is a city of education with numerous universities and vocational schools, as well as a commercial hub where jobs in diverse fields can be found and pursued. Due to this diversity and international presence, there are fewer prejudices against foreign exchange students compared to other regions, making it an easy and comfortable city to adapt and live in. Therefore, this course is recommended for those considering further education or employment in Japan after language studies.
■ Introduction to Our Institution
Our language institute, where this project is being conducted, is located in Tokyo and has established a prestigious reputation over 30 years. Under the guidance of excellent instructors, we annually guide over 100 students to higher education institutions such as universities, graduate schools, and vocational colleges.
We meticulously manage our programs to realize tailored language education through a variety of levels and level tests. Each class accommodates a maximum of 20 students, ensuring personalized attention. Students from diverse nationalities including China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Nepal, and Italy enrich our classrooms.
Moreover, we provide 24-hour access to computers, study areas, a manga library, and spaces for student interaction. Comprehensive support is also available for students interested in studying abroad, furthering their education, or pursuing career opportunities.

■ Dormitory Information
For those finding it difficult to secure accommodation within Tokyo, we offer dormitory arrangements closely linked to our language institute. The dormitory is conveniently located near the institute in central Tokyo, ensuring easy access to transportation. A resident manager is on-site to provide prompt assistance during emergencies and continuous support for daily living.
If you are interested in applying for dormitory accommodation, please select the option for "[Dormitory Accommodation Fee]" when submitting your application.

Osaka, where this project is taking place, is renowned for its diverse culinary offerings, the world's largest aquarium, the essential shopping district of Shinsaibashi, Universal Studios Japan, Osaka Castle, and other cultural landmarks. Outside of language study hours, immerse yourself in Japanese language learning by naturally enjoying delicious food and conversations with friends from various countries at numerous tourist spots!
■ Introduction to Our Institution
The language institute where this project is conducted is centrally located in Osaka, making it an ideal place for combining language studies with leisure activities. The building where classes are held spans 7 floors and offers multiple classrooms, a library, an auditorium, PC access areas, and a lobby for student interaction, providing comfortable facilities conducive to focused learning.We strive to enhance students' Japanese language abilities by offering a variety of classes segmented into different levels and conducting level tests to place students in appropriate classes. This approach ensures that each student receives tailored instruction aimed at improving their proficiency in Japanese. Each class has a maximum capacity of 20 students, allowing for a diverse mix of nationalities such as China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Sweden, the USA, and Italy to participate together in lessons. Additionally, we collaborate with specialized agencies for international students, ensuring participants in working holiday programs receive job placements in Japan, regardless of their Japanese language proficiency.

For those having difficulty finding accommodation within Osaka, we offer dormitory arrangements conveniently located near the school, allowing for walking commutes. A resident manager is available on-site for prompt response to emergencies.

* <Single Room> Includes bed, wardrobe, desk, air conditioning/heating unit, TV, refrigerator, microwave, curtains, kitchen, bathroom, and internet. (For a double room, water and heating fees are 5,000 yen per person)
* <Separate> bedding (available for 7,500 yen / rental 3,750 yen) and cooking utensils, coin laundry.

When I see friends around me forcing themselves to attend school, I feel satisfied that I came to Japan through a Gap Year. This April, instead of returning to Korea, I plan to work part-time at hotels and resorts in Japan. I decided this because I want to make my Working Holiday meaningful. I've had both enjoyment and many experiences during my first experience living abroad. I have a feeling that this Gap Year will have a big impact on my life. I suddenly remember the time when I was consulting with Gap Year in the spring. Thank you once again!

Travel Destination TOP1 - Tokyo Tower
Built-in 1958, Tokyo Tower stands at a height of 333 meters, making it 9 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. There is an observation deck at the 150-meter level, and by transferring elevators, you can go up another 100 meters to reach a special observation deck. From the observation deck, you can enjoy panoramic views of downtown Tokyo. On clear days, you can see Mount Fuji to the west, Mount Tsukuba to the north, and Yokohama to the south. Below the tower, there are various entertainment facilities such as a wax museum, an aquarium, a modern science museum, and a shopping arcade. Experience the exhilarating view of Tokyo from this landmark of Japan, Tokyo Tower!
Travel Destination TOP2 - Kaiyukan Aquarium
Kaiyukan Aquarium is the world's largest aquarium, showcasing over 580 species and 30,000 marine creatures across 15 tanks. It is designed for visitors to directly observe and experience themed exhibits. The highlight includes the Pacific Ocean tank, one of the world's largest at 5 meters deep, where sharks gracefully swim, the tunnel-shaped underwater tank Aqua Gate, and the Jellyfish Gallery featuring a variety of colorful jellyfish. From the moment you enter, Kaiyukan captivates visitors with an immersive underwater world, making you feel as if you've entered the depths of the sea. It promises to lead you into a new realm of discovery!
Travel Destination TOP3 - Tempozan Ferris Wheel
Tempozan Ferris Wheel is the world's largest Ferris wheel boasting a height of 112.5 meters. It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete one revolution, offering panoramic views on clear days. To the east, you can see Osaka Bay along with Ikoma Mountain; to the west, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge; to the south, Kansai International Airport; and to the north, Rokko Mountain. At night, the Ferris wheel becomes a unique attraction where the lighting indicates the weather forecast for the following day: red for clear skies, green for cloudy skies, and blue for rain. Exploring the gourmet delights at Tempozan Marketplace in front of the Ferris wheel adds another layer of excitement to your visit.

Schedule And Prices
■ The minimum participation period for this project is 12 weeks (3 months).
■ Project Costs
Type A - 2,867,500 KRW
Type B (Upon entry with Working Holiday Visa*) - 2,240,000 KRW
Type B (Upon entry without visa) - 2,750,000 KRW
* For popular projects, there may be no TO (Tourist Organization) available, so please apply quickly to secure your spot.
*Please select your desired type and visa type in Option 1. (Your application will not be completed without selecting.)
*When applying for a Type B Working Holiday, you must have a Working Holiday visa upon initial entry into Japan.
If you are unable to pay in full, please deposit 500,000 won in advance for the registration fee and deposit the balance within two weeks. The process of confirming participation in the project will be conducted based on the date of payment of the registration fee to check the availability and TO. It is important to secure a position as soon as possible to participate in the desired date and period! (No refund when confirmed participation)
*However, if the start date is imminent, the balance deposit schedule may vary depending on the situation.
We recommend that all projects be applied three months before the start date of the project participation with normal procedures and KGY's preparation periods, and in principle, you can apply at least two months before the start date. However, if you need to participate in the project urgently or urgently, we will help you with the procedure as soon as possible by paying an additional amount through the emergency application service.
*We are helping you with the quick procedure as soon as possible, but there is a basic time such as communication with local organizations and time to confirm participation, and all procedures are the same as regular participants, so those who participate through the late application service should actively cooperate with the Korea GapYear operation team.
** Those who apply 180 days before the start date can get an early bird discount.
