#Gained confidence; changed a lot #Friends from various countries #Felt warm affection and gratitude

Q. Why did you participate in the project?
A. My grandmother lives in Gangwon Province. Every holiday we visited with family, ate potatoes, sweet potatoes, mugwort, cucumbers, and spent time riding bicycles.
The Hokkaido gap-year stay also seemed like being in the countryside,I decided to participate because I thought I could find peace of mind there, rather than the stress-filled city life.Although it''s a small rural village, experiencing a farm stay in a place that could give me good feelings or inspiration was on my bucket list!
Q. What goals did you hope to achieve through the project?
A. Helping with farm work, making friends from various countries, and studying JapaneseI wanted to do those things. I thought living in fresh air would make me really happy!
And besides farm work, I also wanted to try making Japanese home-cooked meals!
