Enjoy Your Unique Vacation with Wildlife in South Africa! | A journey expanding my world with wildlife

#From my busy life, I found energy for another challenge. #Time Just for Myself #A healing time just for me in Africa.

Hello. My name is Yujin, and I am 29 years old in Korean age. I participated in a wildlife project in South Africa.

I have always loved animals and cared about wildlife protection, so I really wanted to experience meeting animals in a local shelter in Africa. At first, I thought about trying living abroad before my working holiday, but my plans got delayed, and I ended up going to Africa during my first year in Australia.

I'm a worry-free person, so before leaving, I was just prepared to go to South Africa and actively participate in volunteer work. The local project felt like a little addition to my trip to Africa. My weekdays were always similar: I started work at 9 AM, had time to meet animals between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and finished around 5 PM.

On weekends, I had free time, and on weekdays, I could apply for outside activities to travel freely. I also signed up for horseback riding and a safari tour, which lasted longer than I expected. The animals on the safari were farther away, so I hope you apply carefully. I met local Africans who helped us and friends from the UK and Netherlands during my time there.

One memorable moment was meeting another Korean friend by chance during my short stay. I think we relied on each other and adapted quickly in an unfamiliar environment. Seeing the animals up close was great, and I enjoyed working for the animals with friends from different countries.

I appreciated having time to relax just for me in Africa, especially the 10 minutes I spent silently appreciating the sunset on the mountain. The environment was even more luxurious and safe than I expected.

My time was short, but it was meaningful because I could have the experiences I wanted. It would have been an experience I could never have if I hadn't participated, so I give it 9 points for helping change my life. I've gained energy to take on new challenges, and I learned something new through these experiences.

My leisure time was perfect for relaxing. I recommend bringing instant noodles for future participants.
