#Turned scattered thoughts into my own convictions #The strength to acknowledge my weakness and keep moving forward #A clear resonance and lasting impression remained

What began as a somewhat unimpressive fragility and grew into my own conviction about the world was thanks to the questions the teacher posed and the diverse perspectives of the friends I shared the time with.

Hello, I''m Lee Ga-eun from Superman Eungga.
We met in the hot summer, and already it''s autumn as we pull our clothes snugly around us.
I am now taking time to look back on our meetings so far.
I feel proud, a bit regretful, pleased, and sad.
Through six meetings,
we shared two seasons,
we read five books,
and we shared the thoughts of seven people.
It was a short series of six meetings,
but they left a clear resonance and impression on me.
Because of those times,
I was able to write "The Story of the Five Stars of a Child Who Dreams of Superman."
The ''thoughts about how to live'' that had been scattered here and there like drifting clouds
I was able to express in writing a bit more clearly and with a bit more conviction.
From "The Story of the Five Stars of a Child Who Dreams of Superman" — reflection on the third star
At the first meeting, in response to the question of why I became interested in the humanities,
I said that the fundamental motive was loneliness.
What began as a somewhat unimpressive fragility
and led to my being able to form my own conviction about the world
was thanks to the questions the teacher posed and the diverse perspectives of the friends I was with.
From "The Book Is an Axe" to the question of whether love is selfish or altruistic.
From "The Burnout Society," a discussion on whether it is a disciplinary society or a performance society.
From "The Analects," a discussion on whether active care or passive care is right.
From "Things Money Can''t Buy," a discussion on whether it''s a gift or cash.
Finally, from "Philosophy Concert," a discussion on whether a liberal (free-market) economy or a socialist economy is preferable.
If it hadn''t been for this time,
I might never have thought about these topics, so I am all the more grateful.
As the teacher said, the humanities are
That it allows one to accept that humans are weak,
That, despite that, it cultivates the strength to steadily move forward in one''s own life.
I will keep it in my heart and never let it go.
To Teacher Song Ji-eun, who guided me,
Hyejin, Dayoung, Daun, Daewoo, Jiyun who were with me.
Korea Gap Year, who planned this great program, and CEO Choi Kyung-hee,
I am truly grateful.
From your student, Gaeun.
PS. When I encounter a situation or behavior that is not right (or different from me),
whether accepting it
is truly a complete understanding of the other person,
or whether it''s my disguised indifference meant to avoid feeling tired,
I still find it hard to be sure. ㅠㅠ
If Season 2 doesn''t continue, I''ll have to fly to Beomgye. Hahahahaha.
See you in December!
