This Is ChamToring — Dream & Kang Young-hoon ChamToring Review!!

#I reflected on finding my own path instead of following a predetermined one #Courage and conviction to move toward my dream #My thinking, daily life, and future changed

Mentor Kang Young-hoon said, "A dream is not something you rigidly decide is ''this.''" For me, who until now had thought that having a particular job was my dream, this was very striking. When I thought about it, the mentor''s words were right. If my dream were to enter Samsung, my dream would disappear the moment I joined Samsung.

    -[Mentor Kang Young-hoon] ChamToring Review

I first learned about ChamToring through a high school classmate''s introduction.

After transferring universities, I was worrying a lot about choosing a career path, and I thought I might try ChamToring, so I applied without much thought.

When I first met the mentor and the team members, I wondered, ''Was it a good idea for me to start this?''

Listening to the stories of team members who had different majors and lived different lives, and to the mentor''s story, I found myself thinking, ''Have I lived my life well?'', ''Why do those people think that way?''

But as the mentoring continued, I was able to think about each person''s individuality, their lives, and their dreams.

The mentor and team members have lived lives different from mine. So it''s natural that they have different values and different dreams.

However, until now I had assumed everyone would follow predetermined paths like joining a large company, becoming a civil servant, a judge or prosecutor, a doctor, or a journalist.

Breaking the frame of thought I had held for over twenty years brought many changes to my daily life.

I began asking myself dozens of times a day, ''Not the path others talk about—what path do I want? What do I like most, and what do I want to do?''

Mentor Kang Young-hoon said, ''A dream is not something you rigidly decide is "this."''

For me, who until now had dreamed of having a particular job, this remark was very impressive. When I thought about it, the mentor was right.

Because if my dream were to join Samsung, my dream would disappear the moment I joined Samsung.

So I began looking at the distant future and writing down the things I ultimately want to achieve, as well as the small short-term things I want to accomplish.

After about three weeks of mentoring, I was able to draw my dream a bit more concretely, and while writing a dream project plan I began activities to meet the people I want to meet and need to meet.

As I actively approached my dream, I felt as though the dream was actively approaching me as well.

My dream has not yet been realized. But I am certain that my dream will come true.

And I will continue to make steady, proactive efforts until that dream is achieved.

Based on about six weeks of mentoring activities, I experienced a change in my thinking and a change in my daily life. I believe my future will change as well. I would like to thank Mentor Kang Young-hoon once again for changing my life, and I also thank the team members who reflected with me, listened to one another, and moved toward their dreams. I hope many university students find their own dreams through activities like ChamToring.
