#From 'specs'-centered to 'what I want to do'-centered #Expanded perspective and insight regarding my dreams #My perspective on the world broadened.

At some point I began to wonder, ''Could I do it too?'' and that thought gradually changed into ''I can do it.'' And the biggest change is that my thoughts about a job, that is, my dream, have changed a lot compared to before.
-[Mentor Kang Young-hoon] ChamToring Review |
Before I knew it, a month and a half had passed and ChamToring came to an end.
Honestly, when I first met Mentor Kang Young-hoon and the team members, I often thought, ''Wow... they''re amazing,''
At some point I began to have thoughts like, ''Could I do it too?'' which gradually changed into, ''I can do it.''
And the biggest change is that my thoughts about a career, that is, my dream, have changed a lot from before.
In the past, when I thought of a job I believed you needed qualifications and, so-called, good credentials.
So I was even thinking of getting certifications to do what I had dreamed of.
But as I participated in ChamToring, listened to the mentor''s words, and completed the missions one by one,
meeting various people changed my perception of careers. Rather than the job itself, it became clear that what I want to do is
what matters most—I realized that knowing exactly what I want to do is the most important thing.
Also, through meeting various people I learned how selfish I had been.
I was surprised and intrigued to learn that things I thought were considerate and polite could be seen as rude in society.
I was surprised and fascinated to learn that, and also felt great
happiness at being able to meet a variety of people while working on the project. It was interesting to see how others perceive careers and whether they are doing what they like.
It was also fun to investigate what values people pursue.
I was glad to have time to seriously reflect on myself: what I like and what I want to do.
I really enjoyed this time to ponder those questions.
Finally, I was glad to be able to share all of this with my team members and the mentor. Until now, I had never talked about dreams with others like this,
so it was refreshing. Each word from the mentor broadened the way I viewed the world,
and I am truly grateful. ^^
I also thank the Gap Year program that allowed me to meet Mentor Kang Young-hoon and our team members, and I am grateful to the mentor who taught me so much,
and thank the team members who listened to and pondered my dreams with me. ^^
This may be a short and inadequate review, but please read it with kind eyes~ ^^
