Designing a Successful College Life — A Must-Hear Lecture Before Starting College

#From focusing on credentials to becoming a turning point in life #A new perspective on a successful college life #A profound empathy and emotional impact unlike before

I felt a level of empathy and emotion I hadn''t experienced from other humanities lectures — this talk contained only the essential content tailored for college students and for high school students. Before hearing this lecture, I thought that high grades and impressive credentials were what made a successful college life. But after listening, I came to believe that making college a turning point in my life is what constitutes a successful college experience.

    - Designing a Successful College Life

    Hello.
I am a prospective college student who attended today''s lecture.
When I was a student preparing for exams, wearing a uniform and sitting at my school desk studying all day felt normal, and I didn''t have to worry about my future; now I have many concerns and the fear of leaving my parents'' protective shelter....
Maybe because of these thoughts and worries, after the college entrance exam I went to many humanities lectures.

I attended ''Yeoljeongnakseo'' hosted by Samsung and heard lectures by IOC spokesperson Na Seung-yeon, a Samsung president, and baseball player Oh Seung-hwan, but their talks felt distant from me, so they weren''t moving or interesting.
Also, at the end of last December I had the chance to hear Venerable Haemin''s lecture, but that, too, felt distant from me so it didn''t resonate.

I wanted to hear lectures that would help me, but such lectures were hard to find.
Then I came across this lecture through an education donation program. I felt I absolutely had to attend, so I signed up immediately.

Lecturer Lee Seong-won talked about choosing what you prefer at the crossroads between your major and volunteer activities and living a meaningful life, and made me realize, “this is how you use your brain!”
Lecturer Park Si-yong cheerfully introduced the spirit of perseverance, emphasized the importance of valuing yourself, and shared bold experiences of studying abroad alone in India where he knew no one, making the time fly by.
Lecturer Kim Nam-ho evoked empathy by sharing stories of how he combined his major with volunteer work to have a fulfilling college life.
Lecturer Park Jin-su made me feel I should definitely try a working holiday and spoke about the spirit of challenge, confidence, and perseverance.

All four presented under the theme of a successful college life, each offering a different perspective.

Representative and lecturers, thank you for the great lecture.
Please continue to give many great lectures in the future ^^
(Thanks also to the MC who hosted the event in a totally cute manner~~)
