#Became healthy in body and mind and more passionate #The courage to rest whenever I need to #Rekindled my passion for dance

  •

I became healthier in both body and mind and more passionate compared to before participating in the Bali overseas educational volunteer program.

Also, I started my mornings early, ate foods good for my body, and for the first time in my life experienced living full of leisure.

I gained the courage to take a break whenever necessary.

A leisurely volunteer trip in Bali where you can see the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

    Review by Im Jae-yun, a gap-year participant.

    # Hello. I am a dance major university student who went on a Bali overseas educational volunteer trip with friends.

Hello. I used my break to go with friends, ''on a relaxed volunteer trip in Indonesia''s Bali, where you can see the most beautiful sunsets in the world,

''a relaxed volunteer trip'' I am a dance major university student who participated in the program.

I needed volunteer hours to meet graduation requirements, andjust a friend suggested a program where volunteering and travel could be combined,

to participate together in the Bali overseas educational volunteer program. They recommended it. While traveling to Bali, famous as a resort,

the idea that I could also earn volunteer hours made my heart race, and I applied immediately.

*For Im Jae-yun, who wanted to take a full rest and rediscover passion for their dream, customized one-on-one personal missions—activities to rest while focusing on the present and activities to feel passion—were provided daily, and a gap-year notebook to reflect on oneself and make plans was also provided.

    >> Participation fee 100 won! Go to the Gap Year mission.

    # I wanted to take time to rest and regain my passion.

Having danced nonstop since my school days, after achieving the major goal of getting into university,

I was at a loss about what to do next, the feelingI had.So IThrough the overseas educational volunteer program in Bali

I wanted to give myself a time of rest to organize the confusing thoughts I had.

Also, through this process, I wanted to revive the passion for dance that I had forgotten.

Korea Gap Year carefully helped with everything from program application to transportation, travel insurance, and preparing various documents,

without major worries, I was able to depart.

    # I learned about the Balinese people''s passionate attitude and realized that there is still passion within me.

Seeing Balinese people who enjoy studying Korean passionately,

I wondered when I had ever burned with such passion and found myself questioning it.

After thinking it over, I realized that I had only been exhausted up until then, and that I still had passion and love for dance.

I wanted to continue dancing.Although we had gone to Bali to teach through the overseas educational volunteer program,

on the contrary, from the local Balinese people it was a precious time in which I learned what passion is.

    # I became healthier and more passionate, and gained the courage to rest freely.

Compared to before participating in the Bali volunteer program, both my body and mind became healthier and more passionate.

Living with the local Balinese, I received a lot of positive influence from their warmth, passion, and positive mindset.

Also, by starting mornings early, eating things that are good for my body, and for the first time in my life experiencing living with plenty of leisure,

I gained the courage to take a break whenever necessary.

    # What does a typical day in the Bali overseas educational volunteer program look like?

We wake up at 7 AM, prepare for volunteer activities, and have breakfast at 8.

From 9 to 10 AM, for the local Balinese participants, we conduct English classes.

From 10:30 to 11:30, we do job-experience activities related to the work that the locals do.

From 12 to 2 PM is lunch and rest time, and from 2 PM to 5 PM we resume classes.

At this time, in addition to Korean classes, You can fill it with various classes. From 5 PM it''s free time,

Dinner is from 7 PM to 8 PM, and after that it''s all free time. Overall it''s a very relaxed schedule,

I liked that I could go out and explore a lot with the friends who joined the Bali education volunteer program :)

    # Just come with a willingness to learn and enjoy together!

Don''t be too afraid to participate in the Bali education volunteer program just because you''re not good at English.

I couldn''t speak English fluently either, but actually, more important than English ability is the attitude of actively wanting to learn on-site,

the Bali education volunteer program the mindset of enjoying it is much more important.

All you need is the mindset to participate happily while learning together!

    # My personal Bali education volunteer gap year tip!

    (Language)

You use English a lot during the activities. It''s okay if you''re not good at English. I could only manage basic everyday English conversation, but

I never had any trouble in Bali because of the language!

    (Accommodation)

I stayed in accommodation provided by the organization. Since it''s a newly built building and clean, you should be able to use it without any major problems!

    (Meals)

I used the meals provided by the organization, and since many of the dishes tasted similar to Korean food, I was able to eat them without any aversion.

    (What to bring)

Bali is a hot area, but bring one or two thick long-sleeved items in case you get sick or it gets chilly at night.

Also, if you like hiking, be sure to pack comfortable low-heeled shoes! I had been exercising regularly, so

I brought some simple exercise equipment, and it was nice to be able to work out during free time. Also, since you never know when you''ll get sick abroad,

It''s better to have as many basic medicines as possible! Especially be sure to bring Tylenol and antidiarrheal medicine!!

    # My recommended travel route for the Bali education volunteer program!

The sunset viewed from a beanbag at Double Six Beach is really beautiful, so I definitely recommend seeing it.

Also, if you want to feel Bali''s energetic atmosphere, be sure to visit a beach club.

PyeongYou''ll discover a side of Bali''s charm that''s different from its serene natural atmosphere!

    # My Gap Year Is!

    Experience ★★★★★

I was able to try experiences like temple visits, traditional flower making, and coral planting in Bali—things that are difficult to do in Korea—so it was very meaningful.

    Learning ★★★★★

By understanding a culture different from Korea and immersing myself in it, I learned to respect others and other cultures,

and it became a time for me to grow more inwardly.

    Environment ★★★★

Because the setting is so close to nature, insects did appear occasionally, but there weren''t many mosquitoes and the weather wasn''t excessively hot, so I could live without much discomfort

I was able to live comfortably. I especially liked staying in a newly built building :)

    Safety ★★★

For the most part it''s very safe, but since small earthquakes do occur occasionally, it''s a good idea to look up information on how to act in case of an earthquake

    before you go.

    Leisure ★★★★★

The program schedule was relaxed, so I had a lot of free time, which I mostly spent reading, looking at the sea, or exercising.

Especially since the sea stretched out right in front of the place where the program took place and the morning and evening sea views were really beautiful, I would go see the sea even when nothing special was happening

and I went out to see the sea often.
