PROJECT INTRODUCTION
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
■ Project Activities
You will participate in environmental beautification activities such as renovating facilities like libraries, schools, community centers, and parks in the Jaipur area and painting murals, village cleanups, etc.
- Activities take place every day from Monday to Friday for approximately 4-8 hours.
- Since this project is conducted according to the needs of the local residents, there are no fixed tasks, and you will participate in a variety of activities.
- This project starts every Saturday and ends on Friday.
- Both individuals and groups can participate. If you participate as an individual, you will either work with existing volunteers or individually, depending on the needs of the local residents and your personal skills.

Below are examples of activities. Actual activities may vary depending on the needs of the region. Additionally, the tools and materials used for facility renovation may differ from those used in Korea, so the tasks and methods may differ from what you imagine.

① Construction and Renovation Activities in Poor Areas
- Expand or renovate drainage facilities in poor/rural areas.
- Renovate public toilets, parks, community centers, libraries, and houses in poor areas.
- Manufacture benches, desks, and chairs to be used in schools.
② Mural Painting Activities
- Paint murals in villages, school walls, buildings, and classrooms. (Drawing, painting)
- The murals contain educational content for children, such as fairy tales, world maps, math formulas, the human body, fruits, etc.

- Since the main activity involves renovating village facilities, participation in the project is possible if you can manage basic communication.

At first, I went to India under the name of volunteering. However, after 4 weeks, I realized that I didn't go to volunteer but rather received the volunteer work. I realized that I was wasting so much and not satisfied with what I had. Living in India made me think that being satisfied with what is given and using it efficiently is also a good way to live. I am trying to practice this in my life. |

INSTITUTION INTRODUCTION
This organization was founded in 2013 with the goal of giving young people from around the world a genuine experience of India. Feeling that travel packages for foreigners did not properly reflect Indian culture, young Indians decided to introduce projects that solve social issues in India while providing an authentic experience of Indian culture. Their aim is to connect with the world by offering these experiences.
Established with this vision, the organization now collaborates with schools, NGOs, and businesses in Jaipur and the Himalayan region to develop a variety of projects that allow direct experiences of Indian culture and society through volunteer work, internships, and travel. Each year, over a thousand foreigners visit India through this organization, which continuously strives to create safe and reliable projects in various regions.
ACCOMMODATION INTRODUCTION

Participants will live in volunteer accommodation managed and operated by the local organization, alongside volunteers of various nationalities. The accommodation is in the form of apartments that can host up to 60 volunteers, with an average of 2 and a maximum of 4 people per room. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a bathroom, and a shower, with both hot and cold water available.
There is also a modern lounge area where volunteers can relax or enjoy their leisure time after the day’s activities. Meals provided during the project include local and Western-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The accommodation includes kitchen facilities, such as a refrigerator, and a washing machine.
LOCATION INTRODUCTION
Region: India, Jaipur
India, a country rich in historical culture!! As the 7th largest country in the world, it is rapidly developing due to its abundant resources and large domestic market. Jaipur, a must-visit for anyone traveling to India, is India's first planned city. Since the 18th century, its roads, houses, and key buildings have been constructed in a grid pattern, making life safe and convenient for its residents despite many changes over time.
Jaipur, known as the Pink City due to its pink-colored buildings, is still governed by a law that requires building exteriors to maintain a uniform pink color. This creates a unique atmosphere where the vibrant colors of India blend harmoniously throughout the city. Despite its rapid economic growth, India faces challenges such as corruption and inequality, which lead to weak social infrastructure. Therefore, both the government and various organizations, including NGOs, are actively working to address social issues in Jaipur.

1. Hawa Mahal
Known as the heart of the Pink City, Hawa Mahal is also called the Palace of Winds. It features a dense five-story structure with numerous small windows designed to create airflow. This building was constructed so that royal women, who were not allowed outside, could view the daily lives and processions in the city from within, while outsiders could not look in. The unique color and architectural style of the building evoke the grandeur of the Mughal Empire.
2. Amber Fort
Located to the north of Jaipur, Amber Fort was the capital of the Kachwaha dynasty from the 11th to the 18th century. Positioned in a rugged mountainous area for defensive purposes, the journey to the fort can be somewhat strenuous. However, the elegant and opulent atmosphere that greets visitors upon arrival is worth the effort. Enjoy the architectural blend of Hindu and Islamic styles, including the Mirror Palace, small gardens, and artificial lakes, and experience new sensations not found in Korea!

SCHEDULE AND PRICES
■ The minimum participation period for this project is 2 weeks.
■ Participation Costs
- 2 weeks: 1,700,000 KRW
- 4 weeks: 2,030,000 KRW
- 6 weeks: 2,360,000 KRW
- 8 weeks: 2,690,000 KRW
- 10 weeks: 3,020,000 KRW
- 12 weeks: 3,350,000 KRW

■ Installment Payment Information
If you cannot pay the full amount, please make a 50,000 KRW registration fee in advance and pay the remaining balance within 2 weeks. Based on the date of the registration fee payment, the process for confirming project participation will proceed, and availability will be checked. To participate on your desired dates and duration, it is important to secure your spot quickly! (Non-refundable once participation is confirmed)
* However, if the start date is approaching, the schedule for paying the remaining balance may vary depending on the situation.
■ Early Bird Discount and Urgent Application Information
It is recommended to apply for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date due to the standard processing procedures and preparation period. Applications should be made at least 2 months in advance. If urgent participation is necessary due to unavoidable reasons, an additional fee can be paid for urgent application services, and we will assist with the process as quickly as possible.
* While we assist with the process as quickly as possible, basic time required for communication with local organizations and confirming participation applies. All procedures are conducted in the same manner as for regular applicants, so urgent applicants must actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operations team.
** Participants who apply at least 180 days before the start date can receive an early bird discount.
