PROJECT INTRODUCTION
Teach the future generation of Bali about the importance of environmental protection!
This project is a volunteer activity that provides environmental education to the growing children of Bali, raising awareness about the importance of nature conservation, and teaching them practical ways to protect the environment. Through time spent in nature, the children will learn the importance of small efforts and strive to preserve Bali's beauty!
* This project is open to families, with a minimum participation requirement of 3 people.
Bali, Indonesia is known as a paradise on earth and attracts travelers from around the world every year. However, due to indiscriminate development and the increasing number of tourists, there is a growing awareness of environmental pollution.
Join us in preserving the beautiful Bali for the long term! Work with the children who will be responsible for Bali's future to address environmental issues and prepare for the future. Make meaningful efforts to ensure that more children recognize the importance of environmental issues.
This project not only provides environmental education for children but also offers opportunities to participate in various activities aimed at solving problems. Through activities such as picking up trash and planting trees, which are easy for anyone to participate in, children will develop confidence that they can make a difference and pride in creating change.
Children who gain experience in environmental action will gain a deep understanding and will continue to make efforts to protect the environment throughout their lives.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES
This project is a family volunteer activity that supports environmental education for local children in Bali, Indonesia, aimed at preserving the beautiful natural environment. You can spend time learning about and practicing environmental protection through various classes and activities.
If the children in the family are young, they can spend enjoyable time playing with local Balinese children instead of participating in educational activities.

▶ Participant’s Feedback: Gap Year Experience with Kids! We decided to spend the gap year together to show our child a broader world. We hoped that our child would gain more experiences and prepare for the future. Our goal was for our child to grow a bit more after the gap year. And we had an even better experience than expected! We created enjoyable memories and special friendships with the wonderful people we met locally. The whole family participated in the volunteer work, which filled us with a sense of fulfillment that cannot be felt on a regular trip. You will stay in accommodation located in a rural Balinese village. It is a family-friendly space where you can immerse yourself in the local Balinese lifestyle. Experience the daily life of Bali, starting with waking up to the sound of roosters crowing every morning!

01 Ubud Saraswati Temple
Known as the Lotus Temple because of the lotus flowers surrounding it, this temple is dedicated to Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and the arts. Famous for its tranquil atmosphere and traditional architecture, Saraswati Temple is a popular photo spot for many travelers. Right in front of the temple is a Starbucks where you can enjoy a refreshing coffee while gazing at the temple. In the evening, for an additional fee, you can also enjoy a traditional Indonesian dance performance, so be sure to fully appreciate the beautiful ambiance of the temple.
02 Tanah Lot Temple
Bali is famous for its beautiful sunsets, and Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most renowned sunset spots. This sea temple, meaning "land in the ocean," is one of Bali's top sunset locations. The temple's view changes with the tides, and during low tide, you can get closer to the temple via a pathway. As sunset approaches, more travelers gather to witness the sky and sea painted in red hues and the temple’s beautiful silhouette. End your day by watching this stunning sunset.
03 Beautiful Beaches
In Bali, you can find beautiful beaches everywhere without having to specify a particular spot. ■ Payment Plan Information
If you have difficulty paying the full amount upfront, you can make an advance payment of 500,000 won and pay the remaining balance within 2 weeks. The process for confirming your participation in the project will proceed based on the date of the advance payment, and we will check the availability and confirmation of your participation. It is important to secure your spot quickly for your desired dates and duration! (Refunds are not available once participation is confirmed)
* However, if the start date is approaching, the payment schedule for the remaining balance may vary depending on the situation.
■ Early Bird Discount and Urgent Application Information
We recommend applying for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date to ensure proper processing and preparation time. Applications should be submitted at least 2 months in advance. However, if you have urgent circumstances or need to join the project quickly, you can opt for our urgent application service by paying an additional fee, and we will assist you with the expedited processing as much as possible.
* Although we assist with expedited processing, there is basic time required for communication with local agencies and confirming participation. All procedures will be conducted the same as for regular participants, so those using the urgent application service must actively cooperate with the Gap Year Korea operating team.
** Applicants who apply 180 days or more before the start date can receive an Early Bird Discount.

**Note: In the case of ultra-urgent applications, there may be no available slots depending on local conditions, and procedures will follow the Gap Year refund policy. Additionally, issues arising from participant non-cooperation are the participant’s responsibility.
