■Project activities
- This project offers professional classes designed so you can learn practical English on a variety of real-life topics, making English fun and easy to learn.
- Study follows a professional English curriculum focused on reading, writing, listening, and speaking to improve English proficiency.
- Participants join level-based classes matching their ability; levels are divided into six according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
- The course consists of 20 lessons per week (a total of 15 hours), and classes are mainly held in the morning or daytime.
In the afternoons, enjoy your free time exploring and experiencing New York!
📚 Orientation
- Four weeks before the project starts, a placement test will be administered to assign students to classes. Based on the placement test results and nationality distribution, students will be assigned to either morning or afternoon classes.
* If you want a guaranteed option to attend only morning classes for up to 12 weeks, additional fees may apply.
- The class schedule and orientation timetable will be sent to students on the Friday before the start of studies.
- On the project's first day, Monday, students should come to school according to the provided schedule and attend both orientation and classes. If a student did not take the placement test beforehand, they can take the placement test on the morning of the project's first day and then attend the orientation.
* If the project's first day, Monday, is a public holiday, the project will start on the next day (Tuesday).

- To track improvement in English skills, a level test will be administered once each week for 10 weeks.

If it is difficult to pay in full, you can prepay a registration fee of KRW 500,000 and pay the remaining balance within two weeks. From the date the registration fee is paid, we will proceed with the process to confirm project participation and check availability and TO. To participate on your desired date and period, securing your spot quickly is important! (No refunds once participation is confirmed)
*However, if the start date is imminent, the schedule for paying the remaining balance may vary depending on the situation.
■Early bird discounts and urgent application information
We recommend applying for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date to allow for normal processing procedures and Gap Year preparation time, and as a rule, applications should be submitted no later than 2 months in advance. However, if unavoidable circumstances arise or you urgently need to join a project, you can pay an additional fee for the urgent application service to expedite the processing procedures as quickly as possible.
*We do our best to expedite the processing procedures, but there is a basic amount of time required for communication with local organizations and confirmation of participation, and since all procedures are carried out in the same way as for regular participants, those who participate through the urgent application service must actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operations team.
