This is a program where you can learn to surf and relax by the clear and pristine sea of Donghae City. Thanks to the gentle depth and moderate waves, even beginners can safely learn and enjoy surfing. In the evening, you can unwind while admiring the beautiful Donghae sea from accommodations with a full ocean view. If you feel you need a break, now is the perfect time to head to Donghae!

This project is run by a surfing organization located in Donghae, Gangwon-do. From basic lessons for beginners to one-point lessons tailored to the level of the participants, experienced instructors provide systematic education to help anyone enjoy surfing.
After fully enjoying surfing, you can listen to the sound of the waves from accommodations right by the sea or take a walk along the shore to spend peaceful and relaxing time.
Nearby the facility, there are beautiful tourist spots offering a variety of sights and activities beyond surfing. Enjoy the stunning Donghae sea to the fullest and savor each day at your own relaxed pace.

All lesson packages include full equipment rental.
Shower and changing rooms are available (hot water included).
Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in the shower area.
Please bring personal items such as: extra underwear, swimsuit, rash guard, sunscreen, hair ties, towel, and toothbrush.
Hair dryers, earplugs, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are available in the accommodation.
(Towels are available for an additional fee if needed)

Travel insurance
For your safety, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before participation. Surfing is classified as an extreme sport, so please check if your insurance covers extreme sports.

This project offers a surfing stay in Donghae, Gangwon-do, where participants can learn surfing and enjoy a relaxing time. Participants can stay from a short 1 night (2 days) experience up to 4 weeks, learning to surf and having a fun time. Surfboards, wetsuits, and shower facilities are all included in the lessons. And participants can freely attend a dinner party every Saturday.

* After the lesson ends, you can enjoy free surfing until 18:00 and then return the equipment freely. * Participants are requested to arrive 30 minutes before the desired lesson time.

Q. Can I surf even if it rains?
A. Yes! You can! The rain will just wash over you after the sea water!
Q. Can young children surf?
A. Yes! Height is more important than age. Children over 120 cm can participate, and on days with smaller waves, children around 100 cm can join.
Conditions may vary depending on wave status, so please contact us for details.
Q. How many lessons do I need before surfing alone?
A. It varies per person. Practice frequency is more important than number of lessons! Our school helps you level up your skills.
Q. Can I buy a cheap board to practice by myself?
A. Low-quality boards may cause bad habits due to poor balance. We provide high-quality boards worth over 600,000 KRW. We recommend improving your skills with us before moving on to a hard-top board.
Q. I’m afraid of the ocean.
A. Fear often comes from the unknown, just like being more scared at night than daytime. Learn about the sea and waves with our instructors, and start surfing confidently!
Q. When is the best time to learn surfing?
A. Anytime is good! Surfing is not just standing on a board but riding the waves. Beginners are encouraged to start when waves are smaller and easier to enter.
Q. I want to learn side riding!
A. Side riding requires distinguishing the A-frame, peak, and shoulder of a wave. It needs lots of practice and understanding. Before visiting, daily practice on takeoff and paddling on land will reduce mistakes in the water.
Lesson times may change based on local weather, waves, and tides.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM; check-out time is 11:00 AM.
The accommodation’s first floor features a spacious common area with ocean views and various board games.
Participants are free to use the board games in the common area.
The facility runs a café and restaurant, with a BBQ party every Saturday evening.
Party, meal, and drinks costs are additional.
Complimentary simple breakfast (cup noodles, toast, etc.) is served from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.
For safety and quality, lessons are limited to 5 participants per instructor.
Please book at least one week in advance for smooth lesson scheduling.
The project takes place at a surf school nestled between the blue sea and sky of Donghae, Gangwon-do. It offers a peaceful environment where you can learn surfing from professionals and relax in ocean-view accommodations. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the sea.

The accommodation is located right in front of the beautiful sea. You'll stay in gender-separated shared dormitories with ocean views, where you can connect with people from all over the country who share a love for the sea. The facility also operates a café and a dining area where you can enjoy meals and drinks with others. Each morning, a simple complimentary breakfast — such as cup noodles and toast is provided.
Various board games are available in the common area, making it easy to relax and bond with fellow guests during your stay.

Perched above an old fishing village, Mukho Lighthouse offers stunning views of both the sea and the town below. Visit around sunset for breathtaking views as the sky turns gold over the ocean. Be sure to explore the nearby mural alley.
This coastal cliff area features unique rock formations and dramatic ocean scenery. It’s a famous spot for watching the sunrise — many visitors come early to see the sun rise beyond the candlestick-shaped rock.
It’s also a lovely place to take a peaceful seaside walk while listening to the waves.
A wide, clean sandy beach with calm waves, perfect for swimming in summer or quiet strolls in spring and fall. It also has well-maintained camping facilities, making it an ideal place for those who want to spend a relaxing night in nature.
