A gap year is not a pause, but a joyful time of moving forward toward a better me.It will be a precious opportunity to fully rest, learn new things, regain lost passion, and realign the direction of your life.We cheer on your courage as you step off the familiar paths others follow for a while to find your own way.We will be by your side.
The 'Local Imagination' mission is a process of questioning and taking action together while preparing for a gap year, transforming the difficulties and fears you will encounter in a new place abroad into experience and wisdom. Because it is focused on those who are going abroad for the first time or who do not have much overseas experience, for some it may be a mission that passes easily, while for others it may be a task that requires carefully exercising creativity.

A gap year is a personal adventure into a new world. Therefore, it involves preparing yourself and adapting to a new environment. To spend a gap year with joy and discovery, you need basic plans, information, and things to consider. This mission is a good one to undertake when preparing to start a gap year, focusing on solidifying the foundations of your gap year journey.
2. Prepared with content that can be completed easily and quickly.
To ensure the process of preparing for a gap year doesn't feel complicated or difficult, we've structured it into light, actionable steps. It will help you proceed easily and quickly while making sure you don't miss key points. Therefore, we recommend completing 100% of the mission rather than rushing through it quickly. The missions are simple, but they will make a big difference in the end.
3. Includes basic information needed for going abroad.
Living in an unfamiliar environment during a gap year comes with various challenges and difficulties. This mission provides basic information and solutions for situations you may encounter during your gap year to help you adapt well to a new environment. Through this, you will be able to respond confidently even to unexpected situations.

- This is a project that participants carry out on their own following the guides provided by Gap Year.
- Responsibility for mission execution and outcomes lies with the individual participant. Korea Gap Year is not responsible for them.
- The missions are written with a common approach, but if you find them burdensome or unsuitable, we recommend skipping or not doing them.
- Only participants who are actually participating in an overseas Gap Year project can apply for this project.
- Copyright for the provided mission content belongs to Korea Gap Year, and sharing it with others or re-editing it is prohibited. Violating this may result in legal penalties.
- The content and photos posted on blogs while carrying out Gap Year missions may be used by Korea Gap Year for promotional and marketing purposes.
