Spanish, used by over 520 million people in more than 20 countries worldwide, is the second most spoken language after Chinese. It is the primary language in most South American countries, and with the growing importance of the South American market, the popularity of Spanish continues to rise. Learn Spanish in South America at a much cheaper price than in Spain! Peru is one of the more affordable countries in South America. This is a project to learn Spanish and South American culture intensively in Cusco, the capital of the ancient Inca Empire and a gateway city to Machu Picchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Cusco, Peru offers an ideal environment for learning Spanish, with its relatively low cost of living, beautiful city, and various sightseeing spots. Make friends with people from all over the world in Cusco, the mecca of South American travelers!

If you don't speak Spanish, having some level of English proficiency can be very helpful in conducting the project.

Since all classes are conducted in Spanish, having a basic knowledge of the language will be very helpful for class progress.
2. Spanish classes are held in the mornings, and various activities take place in the afternoons.
■ Spanish Class
- Participants are placed in classes that suit their level through a test, and customized classes are offered from beginner to advanced levels.
The schedule for morning and afternoon classes may vary depending on the participant's level.
- Classes start every Monday and are conducted in small groups of 3 to a maximum of 6 people, providing many opportunities for individual participation.
- Classes are held for 20 hours a week.
Monday - Friday (Weekday Schedule)
Depending on your level and schedule, you may have either morning or afternoon classes.
- Morning class: 08:30 ~ 12:50 (Break: 10:30 ~ 10:50)
- Afternoon class: 14:00 ~ 18:20 (Break: 16:00 ~ 16:20)
* In addition to group classes, those who wish to take private one-on-one lessons can apply for additional classes.

■ Afternoon Activity Programs
We offer a variety of free activities every week to help students learn Spanish more easily and enjoyably. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, enjoy various activities like cooking classes, salsa dancing, games, movies, workshops, sports events, cultural exchange activities, and more. These activities provide a great opportunity to interact and make friends with people from different countries!

Travel to the hidden city of Machu Picchu, or easily visit neighboring countries like Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, or Colombia since Peru shares borders with them!

INSTITUTION INTRODUCTION
This Spanish school is located in the historical and artistic center of Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire. Along the main square, you will find many restaurants, cafes, museums, and convenient transportation options. Since 2003, it has been teaching Spanish and Peruvian culture to foreigners from around the world who come to Cusco to learn Spanish. The school strives to make learning Spanish easy and fun. In addition to Spanish classes, the school offers a variety of activities such as football matches and Latin dance lessons. If you choose to study Spanish here, within two weeks, you will build a strong foundation in Spanish while fully experiencing and enjoying authentic South American culture.
In the small cafeteria within the institution, students can freely have meals, share conversations, and interact with one another while spending personal time. This place, visited by international students from various countries, strives to provide an environment where students can feel as comfortable as at home, even in a foreign land.

For accommodation, additional options are available based on personal preferences. If you wish to request accommodation, we can book a place connected to the organization for an additional fee. Generally, accommodations are checked in on Saturdays and checked out on Saturdays.

Peru is a beautiful country that borders Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, and Colombia. It is a country with endless tourist attractions including beaches and deserts along the Pacific Ocean, the Amazon, the hidden city of Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world.
Cusco is located about 14 hours from Lima, the capital of Peru. It is famous for Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and is also a popular destination for budget travelers from around the world due to its affordable cost of living. The weather is generally cool and dry, making the period from June to September the best time to visit.

■ Early Bird Discount and Emergency Application Information All Gap Year projects are recommended to apply at least 3 months before the project start date due to the normal processing procedures and preparation period. The principle is to apply no later than 2 months before the start date. However, if there is an urgent need to participate in the project, you can use the emergency application service to pay an additional fee for faster processing. * While we will assist with the fastest possible processing, there is a basic amount of time required for communication with local agencies and for confirming participation. Since all procedures are the same as for regular participants, those using the emergency application service must actively cooperate with the Korea GapYear operation team. ** Those who apply more than 180 days before the start date can receive an Early Bird discount. *** Emergency application services can be applied for through the options above. ● Directions and Pickup Information
PICK UP SERVICE NOT INCLUDED
Generally, participants will arrive at ‘Lima Airport’ in Peru. The project location is about 1 hour and 30 minutes by plane from Lima Airport. Typically, participants enter Peru via international flights to Lima Airport and then transfer to a domestic flight to Cusco.* The pickup method may change depending on local conditions. Those who wish to have pickup from Cusco Airport to accommodation can apply for an additional service.
