PROJECT INTRODUCTION
This project helps those preparing for a working holiday in Australia by providing support from Korea to gradually prepare for essential tasks such as job information, immediate accommodation, mobile phone issuance, and bank account setup when starting life in a new country. To help you plan a better working holiday and receive more useful information, if you have a reliable local guide by your side 365 days a year, a working holiday in Australia will no longer be a problem.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
■ Activities
Participants will receive a membership valid for one year and start by preparing essential tasks for their stay in Australia from Korea. After receiving the membership, they will be given personal login information (ID and password), through which they can access real-time updates on job and living information in Australia.
Furthermore, even after arriving in Australia, participants will continuously receive management and advice from local staff, allowing for a more enjoyable working holiday. They can quickly find jobs and resolve living issues, enjoying relaxed leisure activities in Australia, and also have opportunities to socialize with international friends at the center, making it easy to connect with peers from around the world. By interacting with supportive staff who treat them like family, participants will find themselves enjoying their working holiday more than they expected. So, let’s start preparing step by step!
● STEP 1. Preparing Step by Step in Korea Before Departure
- Providing Local Job Information through Personal Accounts
Participants will receive online login information for their exclusive use. Through their personal ID, they will continuously receive job information (job title, location, duration, wages, etc.) available in Australia. Wages are guaranteed to be above the minimum wage according to local laws, and new information is updated monthly, ensuring high reliability.
● STEP 2. Adapting After Arrival in Australia
- Provision of Local Mobile Number (SIM Card) and Bank Account Number (ATM Card) Setup Guidance
Guidance is provided for obtaining a local mobile number and bank account number from Korea. If desired, a MasterCard debit card linked to the account can also be applied for and received after arrival. You can continue using your phone from Korea, and a local SIM card will be provided during the orientation in Australia.
- Providing Local Job Information through Personal Accounts
Participants will receive exclusive online login information. Through their personal ID, they will continuously receive information on job opportunities in Australia (job title, location, duration, wages, etc.). Wages are guaranteed to be above the minimum wage according to local laws, and new information is updated monthly, ensuring high reliability. Job updates can be received via email.
- Local Orientation
The orientation lasts about 1 hour at the local office and takes place the day after arrival in Australia. The orientation schedule is typically confirmed by the staff during hostel check-in, and the local orientation provides essential information for preparing for the working holiday, including job details, safety rules, housing tips, second visa preparation, and tax refund services.
* Orientation is only held on weekdays, so if you arrive in Australia on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be conducted on Monday.
- Providing Information on Share Houses and Short/Long Term Accommodation
Finding accommodation is as important as finding a job. Explore various options provided by the center, such as apartments, hostels, and share houses, to find accommodation that suits you. If you find a place you like, local staff will safely handle contract matters. It's also beneficial to live with friends from various nationalities to improve your English skills.
● STEP 3. Enjoying Your Working Holiday for 365 Days a Year
- Providing Job Information for One Year
Jobs will be introduced based on a network accumulated over 10 years in the local area. Monthly updates will be provided through an online portal, and safety aspects are also regularly checked, ensuring reliability.
- Job Updates and Resume Review
New job information that might be missed over the 12 months will be continuously received via the online portal and personal email. Additionally, since resumes need to be formatted differently from Korea, assistance from experienced local staff is necessary. The local staff at the center will review and edit students' resumes to help them find jobs quickly and easily.
- Rental/Sale of Safety Equipment and Workwear
Due to the nature of jobs in Australia, safety equipment may sometimes be required. Workwear is available for rental or purchase.
* Workwear can be rented with a deposit, which is fully refunded upon return. (Limited to the Sydney area)
- TFN (Tax File Number) Registration
To work with local companies in Australia, it is mandatory to register for a personal TFN. The staff will explain the application process, and for participants who encounter difficulties, they will kindly assist until the TFN registration is completed.
* TFN: TFN stands for Tax File Number, which is a unique number required for all individuals legally working in Australia to report taxes.
■ English Requirement ★★☆☆☆
- This project is conducted in English.
- Since all processes are conducted in Australia over the course of one year, it is available to all who are preparing for a working holiday in Australia. However, as all information is provided in English and communication with local staff is conducted in English with ongoing management, basic English skills are required.
* Detailed participant reviews can be found on the Gap Year Stories (click).
* More participant reviews can be checked at the bottom of the project under "Participant Reviews".

INSTITUTION INTRODUCTION
This center provides a range of information to help participants have a successful working holiday in Australia. We handle all aspects of the initial process of coming to Australia, including providing job information for where participants can work, reviewing resumes, preparing accommodation, issuing phone numbers, and opening bank accounts. When students face unexpected problems or need assistance, we are the first organization they turn to, receiving positive feedback from participants in the program.
Established in 2002, this organization has assisted over 40,000 participants in preparing for their working holidays, and the number continues to grow each year. Our experts, with extensive know-how and on-the-ground experience, carefully assess individual situations to provide appropriate information and help with planning. By preparing for your working holiday a little earlier than others, you can save a lot of time and adapt to life in Australia more quickly. Our guides are here to provide generous support to help you plan a better working holiday and receive more useful information.
ACCOMMODATION INTRODUCTION
This project includes a total of 7 nights of accommodation from the day of arrival in Sydney. (*Includes priority check-in)
This accommodation is perfect for those starting their working holiday in the unfamiliar environment of Australia. It offers more than just a place to stay, providing a space for 'information and social exchange' with fellow participants from different countries. With proactive staff always ready to assist and friends who are also starting their working holiday, you'll feel a comforting, family-like atmosphere.
The project is located in the same building as the accommodation, allowing participants to naturally meet and share information with friends from around the world in the pub within the building (a bar serving various drinks).
The accommodation is situated right next to Central Station in the heart of the city, making it easy to use all transportation options such as trains, city/outside buses, and taxis. Additionally, you will share a room with six international friends, naturally encountering different cultures. Meals can be enjoyed using meal vouchers at designated locations within the building for lunch or dinner. For the first 4 days, one meal per day will be provided via vouchers, and you will need to handle meals independently for the remaining period. The kitchen, equipped with all cooking utensils (pots, pans, forks, spoons, refrigerator, gas stove, microwave), is available for use at any time, allowing you to shop and prepare your own meals with friends.
6 people per room / Shared bathroom / Shared kitchen / Meal vouchers (first 4 days, 1 meal per day, lunch/dinner) / Separate WIFI / Priority check-in
