“Please, stop the time!!”
A lot of time has already passed since I decided to take a gap year.
At that moment when you decided to take a gap year,
Are you maintaining your original intention?
Whether you decided to take a gap year to get a job,
or to build up your qualifications,
or because others did,
or to save up for tuition,
or because you were just tired of studying,
or because you wanted to do something you like,
or because you wanted to find out what you like,
you probably know your own motivation for taking a gap year.
I don’t know what your motivation was from the beginning, but if you’ve kept your initial goals and resolutions even after quite some time has passed since you started taking a gap year, you’re truly an amazing person.
However, many students find it very difficult to spend each day productively in the period of complete ‘freedom’ that they have never experienced before.
Or, even if they live diligently, there are many cases where they lose their initial goals.
The important thing is that you are already a gap year student and there is still time left.
If the brilliant gap year plan you had from the beginning was just a reckless idea,
I hope you will calmly, rationally, and wisely make a new plan. Rather than being swayed by the words of many people around you and anxiously writing a list of things, I hope you will listen more to the voice in your heart. Unless it is advice that is given with the confidence of those who truly love you.
If you have made all the plans? I hope you will put at least one thing into action.
There is a line in the movie ‘Any Given Sunday’ starring Al Pacino:
“One inch at a time.
In everything, inches matter. We have to fight for that inch. Clench your fist for that inch.
Because we know that those inches come together to ultimately determine victory or defeat!! The reason I still want to live is because I am still ready to fight and die for that inch. That is life.”From ‘Any Given Sunday’

As you live each day, there are naturally spare moments that are given to you. I hope you cherish these moments. Also, I hope you move forward with the mentality of taking one day at a time, one at a time.
I am not saying that you should be lazy. If you have been dissatisfied with your gap year so far, or if it has been a time of disappointment and regret, you should whip yourself even more, slap yourself in the face, and come to your senses. So I hope you have a successful gap year.
