[Gap Year Tip] 🇬🇭 Ghana Entry Information

✅What is a Ghana tourist visa (Tour visa)?

Since South Korea and Ghana do not have a visa exemption agreement, South Korean nationals must obtain a tourist visa in advance to enter Ghana. To visit Ghana, prepare the necessary documents and submit them to the Embassy of Ghana in Korea for review and visa issuance.

✅Ghana tourist visa application requirements

1. Visa application form

Fill out the visa application form online
The signature on the application must match the applicant's signature in the passport

2. Passport

Valid for at least 6 months
Must contain the holder's signature

3. Two recent passport-size photos with the same background color

4. Copy of passport information page

5. Copy of invitation letter

6. Valid Ghanaian ID of the inviter

If the inviter is Ghanaian, submit their passport and Ghana Card proving Ghanaian citizenship

7. Copy of the passport of the foreign inviter

If the inviter is a foreign national, submit a passport copy proving legal residence

8. Payment receipt (visa fee) issued by KEB Hana Bank

9. Travel itinerary

Round-trip airline ticket in English or an English round-trip flight reservation schedule

10. Hotel reservation confirmation or proof of accommodation

11. Residence permit

12. Yellow fever vaccination certificate

13. If the applicant is under 18, submit a consent form with a parent's signature and a copy of the passport.

✅How to apply for a Ghana tourist visa

1. Online visa application:

Start filling out the online visa application form through the website.

Answer the questionnaire related to the visa application.
Carefully read and understand the visa application requirements and terms of use.
Print the application form once the online application is completed.
Sign the printed application in the signature field and prepare it.

2. Submit documents by visiting the embassy or by courier:

You can submit the printed application and VISA PACK (including passport, proof of fee payment, and all relevant supporting documents) either by visiting the embassy in person or by courier.

*For a safe and reliable visa process, we recommend visiting the embassy in person to submit documents rather than using courier services.
*Before visiting the embassy, we recommend contacting the consular section of the Ghana Embassy in Korea to confirm that all required documents are properly prepared.

✅Precautions when applying for a Ghana tourist visa

If you stop the online application midway, you can retrieve and complete the application later using the Tracking option.
If the passport, proof of payment, and supporting documents do not arrive at the embassy within 10 days of the visa application date, the visa application will be automatically canceled.
Visas are issued only after a valid and approved online application has been submitted.
If the application is incomplete or the information is inaccurate, the entry permit and visa application will be invalidated.
Visa fees paid to the Ghana Embassy in Korea are non-refundable.
