Q. What was the reason you joined the project?
A.a long vacation I hadn''t had in a long time how to make the most of a long vacation I was wondering about that, and I thought it would be good to join a program and volunteer in Portugal, a country I had always found interesting.
Q. What score would you give for your satisfaction with this project?
A.8/10
I''m satisfied with the overall activities. In particular, because I worked in the evenings (6:30–9:30), it was nice that I could do sightseeing or have personal time during the day. Please note that additional activities beyond meals incur extra costs. Also, when there are real language or daily-life difficulties, communication with the manager is not very smooth; it''s more convenient to sort things out on your own.
Q. Would you recommend this project?
A. 7/10
Honestly, I spent a long time in English-speaking countries, so language wasn''t a problem for me, but all internal communication is in English. You need basic conversational ability to communicate with the staff, and at the actual workplace they mostly use Portuguese.
Q. How much did you change through the gap year project?
A. 8/10
It was a chance to relax for the first time in a while and to meet and interact with Portuguese people.
If I have another opportunity, there are many good programs, so I''d like to take part in a variety of them.
