Program Introduction

Do you sigh just thinking about English? Worry no more! This project focuses on building practical conversational skills, so instead of rigid lessons, you can learn English by actively participating and enjoying it. Waikiki Beach stretches in front of the school, and the school also runs its own activity programs, making it a great place to enjoy your leisure time.In particular, working professionals can take a 1–2 week vacation to relax in Hawaii and also learn English, making it a win-win holiday!Have fun enjoying activities with friends, make precious memories, and naturally improve your English conversation skills!

The three biggest concerns when living abroad are safety, weather, and people, aren't they? Butrest assured in Hawaii. As a world-class tourist destination, Hawaii has relatively good public safety within the U.S., and with a mild climate around 27°C year-round, you can enjoy comfortable weather without worry 365 days a year. Also, Hawaii is home to a diverse population of people from East and West, so the racial discrimination many worry about is hard to find, and even if your English is limited, people kindly try to understand—so don't be afraid and use English a lot. You can focus solely on learning English and enjoying Hawaii.
Worried that after deciding to study abroad you'll only improve your Korean chitchat skills? Of course it's great to have Korean friends who click with you, but since you're studying abroad, living in an environment with foreign friends where only English is used will help a lot, right? The institution running the project has students studying English from various countries such as Europe, South America, and Asia, and in particular the proportion of Koreans is lower than in other study-abroad destinations.Play, speak, and think 100% in English with friends from around the world and make English truly your own!

About the Provider

The institution running the project is an English-language specialized school located on Waikiki Beach in the heart of Hawaii. It prides itself on having the best learning environment, quality of instruction, and school facilities among English language institutions in Hawaii (based on the 2016 Japan Best School Award), and is the only school in Hawaii officially accredited by IALC*, providing top-quality English education. Students from over 20 countries study here together, with 34% from Japan, 27% from Switzerland, 10% from Korea, 3% from Brazil, 4% from Germany, and 18% from other countries.
*Nationality ratios may vary depending on the time of participation.

In particular, the low proportion of Korean students is an advantage because it allows for natural English conversation practice. Hawaii has a warm climate and exceptional natural environment year-round, making it a place where you can study English and enjoy a variety of activities in your leisure time. The school has a dedicated activities coordinator on staff, so after class you can easily enjoy activities with friends and learn practical English. Escape the cramped city, savor Hawaii with friends from around the world, and enjoy learning English!

It is an international accreditation organization for foreign language schools founded in 1983. It regularly verifies overall matters such as the quality of instruction, services, student care, and facilities according to strict standards, and only recognizes as member schools those that pass its rigorous accreditation criteria. As of 2015, only 118 schools in 21 countries worldwide were registered as IALC member schools.

Location Overview

Region:United States, Hawaii

Hawaii

Hawaii, the ultimate paradise everyone dreams of at least once, is a familiar American resort. It is the 50th and final state of the United States and is the closest U.S. state to our country from the mainland. While indigenous peoples on the U.S. mainland have largely lost their native cultures, Hawaii's geographic isolation has allowed it to preserve and maintain its indigenous culture. Although Hawaii is made up of more than 100 islands, the inhabited islands are six: the Big Island (Hawaii), Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, and Lanai.

Among them, Oahu is the third largest island and home to the state capital, Honolulu, making it the center of Hawaii's economy, politics, culture, and tourism. Each of the six islands has its own character, and Hawaii offers both the glamour of a big city and unspoiled natural beauty. With its mild year-round climate and attractions that go beyond a typical resort, it continues to attract travelers from around the world.
