    About the Provider

    About the Organization

The organization carrying out the project is an NGO that provides English education to local residents at a school in Luang Prabang, Laos. To develop local people’s skills and potential and to offer long-term solutions for sustainable development and poverty reduction, it has been offering English classes since 2017 using a school where monks once studied. More than 300 students participate in the classes each year; most come from poor families who make a living through rice farming and face economic hardship. Students of various ages — including children, adolescents, monks, and workers — take part, and the education projects are run together with volunteers from around the world, including the United States, Australia, and Europe.

    A Word from the Director

I majored in education in Luang Prabang and spent four years traveling while doing educational volunteer work. When I was young, I was able to attend school thanks to the support of a sponsor. I established this organization for local students who do not have the opportunity to receive quality education. I am dedicated to English education efforts so that the people of Laos can have better opportunities for success.

This was the palace where Laos’s last king lived, and it is now used as a museum displaying royal artifacts and Buddha statues.
