We are KOREAGAPYEAR which is a company to encourage Korean students between 20 to 30 years of age to take a gap year so they can think about their dream and design their own career path.
We are operating over 200 projects in diverse countries.
Do you know about Jeonju? This is a city which keeps a root of culture of the Joseon dynasty. Jeonju Hanok Maul is only village preserved very well in center of a city foaming colonies of over 700 traditional Korean style houses.
It is known for representative tourist attraction of Korea where you could experience tradition living culture. In 2015, except Seoul, Jeonju is ranked 3rd among major tourist cities throughout South Korea, behind Jeju and Busan. And it is selected as the third by Lonely Planet’s Best in Asia 2016. Jeonju Hanok Village also was designated an International Slow City in 2010 in recognition of its relaxed pace of life where traditional culture and nature blend harmoniously.
This program is designed to take a rest and time for looking back on one’s life in this peaceful and calm place. In addition you will make unforgettable memories with new friends by experiencing local’s lifestyle. Don’t miss this wonderful chance!

Jeonju is the second largest city in Jeolla-do regions. It is located near wide plains and vast ocean that it is famous for a rich taste and flavor. Jeonju is one of the best cities in Republic of Korea thanks to comfortability, accessibility and closeness to convenience facilities.
You would enjoy atmosphere blending tradition and modernity and also traditional art like Hanji(traditional Korean paper handmade from mulberry trees), Pansori(Korean folk play), and Hanok(traditional Korean style house). That’s the reason that Jeonju is well known for one of the cities which foreigners want to live in Asia. In Jeonju you could try many kinds of food cheap and decent that has been developed in history. Find out diverse charms of Jeonju through this program!
You will stay at a quiet traditional Korean house situated in Gyodong Hanok Maul. This house is partially renovated for convenience while keeping features of traditional Korean house. So you could feel relaxed and sophisticated sensitivity. Even though it’s very near to Jeondong Catholic church which is the busiest spot it is quiet because it is located at the end of alley. This is perfect place to have your own time and calmly clean up day after vibrant day. The owner of this house try to make this place filled with happiness with belief that let’s make precious and valuable space that could have people healthy.
- This house is duplex type.
- Rooms are Ondol(Korean floor heating system).
- Each room has their own bathroom.
- It accommodates up to 2 persons. (Room rate for 2 will be cheaper than for 1)
- It is equipped with TV, air conditioner, a hair dryer, shampoo, rinse, body wash,
toothpaste, towels.
- You can check-in from 3 p.m. and check-out until 10:30 a.m.
- Smoking is not allowed inside this house.
