After almost two months, when I looked back at myself I realized that, although not perfectly, there were moments when I was listening to English and had foreign friends by my side.I highly recommend it if you come with the mindset of wanting to talk with foreigners without hesitation and to become familiar with English!

At some point I was listening to English and had foreign friends beside me.
Hello. Before coming to Cebu through Korea Gap Year, I was employed and working in Korea.Everyone has probably at least once dreamed of having fluent English skills or felt the need for English.I, too, have had a dream since I was young of laughing and conversing with foreigners in English.
So I wanted to seriously face English and started looking up language schools online. I found many language schools not only in the Philippines but also in Canada and Australia. For me, English was a language I was starting from scratch and something that required a considerable financial investment, so I thought about it a lot. I had several consultations with Korea Gap Year and learned that the Philippines'' biggest advantage wasthat there are many one-on-one classes. I chose the Philippines because I thought that with 1:1 lessons I could immediately ask about things I didn''t understand and build a closer bond with my teachers.
I am currently in my 8th week in Cebu. Originally I came for 4 weeks, but that felt too short, so I extended another 4 weeks to stay a total of 8 weeks. Language is something you study for a lifetime. So I naturally did not expect to make English completely my own in just two months.I simply wanted to become comfortable with English and be able to communicate in English.
As it neared two months, looking back at myself, I realized that, although not perfectly, there were moments when I was listening to English and had foreign friends by my side.I highly recommend it if you come with the mindset of wanting to speak with foreigners without hesitation and to become familiar with English! I am currently considering studying abroad in Canada or Australia.
I think it''s a good idea to get used to English in the Philippines before preparing to study abroad. In fact, many people come to the Philippines before going abroad to study.
Also, although the Philippines is a hot country, it can get cold because of the air conditioning, so it''s a good idea to bring a few long-sleeved shirts and long pants. Lastly, there are many Korean restaurants in Cebu, so don''t worry about food!

Before I knew it, 12 weeks had passed and I''m about to graduate. It was my first time in Cebu, so everything was unfamiliar and I was very worried. Up until I went to the mall to exchange money on the first day, I was continually nervous, butThanks to the wonderful people, I''m leaving with only joyful and happy memories.
I unexpectedly earned a scuba diving certification and went to the islands every weekend; during the week I got massages, went bowling, and went to clubs. Time seemed to fly by... I met teachers I clicked with and stayed with them for the full 12 weeks. There are many good teachers, so it''s also fine to switch for the experience.
It was a spur-of-the-moment decision when I was tired of the repetitive daily routine in Korea. I met many good people, andI have no regrets choosing Korea Gap Year Cebu language program because I was able to create fulfilling, happy memories over the 12 weeks.
