Recharging warm love with children in Hanoi, Vietnam

    Q. Please tell us your level of satisfaction with the projectPlease let us know. If you were satisfied, what aspects did you like?

    A. 9/10

The volunteer accommodation was not in a busy area,so it was a great environment to really experience local lifeand

while meeting friends from various nationalities,I discovered things I hadn''t thought of until now.

Especially it made me realize that English is not just something to study, but a language to speak.

    Q. Would you recommend this project?

    A.7points/10

I felt it was safe enough to travel freely. At the kindergarten where I volunteered, lunch breaks were long and ended early, so I had a lot of free time, and I was able to find what I wanted to do and do it freely.Anyway, having so much free time was wonderful. However, the living conditions are very different from Korea, so it wasn''t easy to adapt at first: people selling food on the streets, many shops operating without air conditioning despite the extreme heat, mosquitoes, jaywalking, etc.

    Q. If there were any changes in you after participating in this project, what are they?

I used to have an obsession with perfectionism, but now if I make a mistake or do something wrong I get briefly flustered and then let it go.

AndI experienced that when I focus on goals I consider important, I become less sensitive to living conditions or

    other unimportant aspects..

    Q. Finally, is there anything you would like to say?

Through Korean Gap Year, among various projects, you can create a program that is helpful to you,and

during the gap year you can voice your concerns and seek advice to act and plan more proactively.

It doesn''t just offer simple projects, so during the gap year it helps reorganize goals and...

the direction to take.So if I have a gap year again, I''d like to use it again, but...

the program fees, tickets, and other living expenses were a burden.

Gap year mission coordinator, Cebu language study coordinator, Hanoi volunteer coordinator,

and everyone who provided consultations — thank you for working hard to make the gap year possible.

Especially the counselor who kindly answered my inquiry calls and helped me find the courage,

thank you to the counselor as well.Stay healthy :)
