#Became a stronger person, increased self-esteem #Valuable connections, a sense of accomplishment #Felt a sense of freedom

What I realized is that I am much stronger than I had thought..AndMy self-esteem has improved a lot as I accepted myself as I am.. Reflecting these changes, I used to feel awkward when smiling and didn''t really like having my photo taken, but when I look at the photos taken during my gap year, my smiles were so bright and natural that I wondered if I ever had those expressions.. -Best value! # I never expected that the gap year I stumbled upon would make me grow like this.

Hello. I the past5months "value for money best. Now I am planning to participate in the next gap year projectsafely Europe the Mediterranean Malta English learning"!" gap year project who participated in gapper I am Jeon Yoonseong.English to study for the purpose of took a leave of absence somehow I ended up a gap year througha language-study abroad programto go ended up by chance met the gap year me like this helped me grow would that I didn''t know.
At first, my primary goal was language study abroad rather than wanting a gap year..But on the other hand, I''d heard a lot about gap years, and reading gap-year accounts filled me with excitement,Since I was going through a gap year, I thought I might also, experience change like other gap-year participantsand I applied with that expectation.
I usually had too many worries. From trivial topics to worries about the future... I grew more exhausted day by day as I ran through countless possible scenarios in my head about a single concern.. Because of that, I wanted to run away from those worries and thoughts.. After applying for the project, the plane tickets, accommodation, while worrying about the schedule “Ah, this is almost an illness” I thought that, and I wanted to resolve this compulsion as soon as possible; at the very least, I wanted to run away.. But when life in Malta became simpler, my worries naturally decreased..
# I was certain that I had gained precious connections while I was there.

The friends I met abroad were the lifeline that helped me get through my life in Malta.. There were some Koreans like me who came on a gap year or through language schools, and there were friends from various other nationalities as well.. I sometimes gathered with Korean friends to cook Korean food and talk, and those were lovely meetings — they were like an oasis when I started to miss Korea..
And actually, the foreign friends I was close to were from Turkey, Japan, Germany, They were Colombian friends, and with these friends I was able to form a human connection that transcended nationality and language; we parted promising to meet again someday in their country or in Korea.. Some friends'' eyes filled with tears when I said I was leaving, and seeing that I was convinced I had made precious connections while I was there..
# Above all, I took time to look at myself objectively.

During my gap year I learned the sense of accomplishment that comes from achieving things one by one on my own.. Cooking, household chores such as laundry making planned, appropriately scaled purchases in my own way, etc.in every way I was able to grow. Above all, I had time to look at myself objectively..
that allowed me to think about what I fear and worry about gap-year missionswere available.. Upon reflection, I found that there were many issues I didn''t need to worry about, rather than things I truly had to.. And I analyzed the fundamental aspects of what I worry about, and as a result I was able to view myself more objectively.. What I felt is that I am a much stronger person than I thought.. And by accepting myself as I am, my self-esteem greatly improved.. Reflecting these things, I used to feel awkward when smiling and didn''t really like taking photos, but when I look at the photos I took during my gap year, I had such bright, natural smiles that I wondered if I had ever made those expressions..
And using English became more comfortable than before, and being around foreigners no longer felt frightening.Still shortcomings exist, but I what parts are lacking came to know and that part to focus on improving going to motivationwas given.
# I gained these values and learned how I can obtain them in the future.

Around the middle of the project I received a gap-year mission: through meditation, it was a task to organize my thoughts about the gap year I had had and the one ahead..So the remaining goal for my gap year that I set was to become free from my thoughts, and to communicate in English with foreigners, and finally to form precious connections — now that the project has ended, looking back I was able to achieve all of them..
