A special Nordic working holiday to learn about the world and protect the environment

    Q. Please tell us your level of satisfaction with the project. Please let us know. If you were satisfied, what did you like?

    A. 7 out of 10

What I was satisfied with during the pre-course period wasKorea Gap Year''s attentive care and concern were a greathelp.

I was quite satisfied with the pre-course living conditions and the workload.School life in Norway is also quite free. And I was able to meet many good people through this project.

On the other hand, it was disappointing that the organization''s management was not systematic. In particular, there was a lack of what could be called ''training'' for the program. The organization''s unstructured operation and the resulting inconvenience to participants, as well as shortcomings in education, left much to be desired.

    Q. Would you recommend this project?

    A.7out of 10

First,by working in Northern Europe, you can indirectly experience and learn about its welfare system and living standardsYou can travel in Central America for three months at low cost. If you think of the program as one where you ''work'' and then ''travel'' with the money you earned, you can be satisfied, and you can become friends with the good people you meet here.

However, it is difficult to gain knowledge about the environment and human rights through this program. Because the organization''s system is not well organized, there may be confusion.

    Q. What changes have occurred in you after participating in this project?

I think I learned a little more about what kind of person I am. Meeting a complete stranger,

especially when meeting a foreigner for the first time, what actions do I take—what kind of people I like,

what kind of person I want to become, the reasons I do things and the reasons I don''t, the reasons I''m diligent and

reasons I''m lazy, etc. I don''t know how much I have changed, but

justI think that simply getting to know myself a little more is itself part of the process of changeI think so.

Hopefully I''ll gradually change for the better!? :)

    Q. Do you have any final remarks?

I''m curious about the different worlds I can encounter through Korea Gap Year. It feels like it will offer both enjoyment and meaning!

The person I''m grateful for is Haedeun (?). :) Even before the pre-course, they always took care of our team with thoughtfulness and kindness. It''s the first time I''ve met such a warm coordinator!

Also, Ju-hong, who planned the program and communicated with us along the way, and Choi-hwan, who always encouraged us while we carried out the Gap Year missions! I only met him once, but CEO Ahn Si-jun, who runs Korea Gap Year and a social venture—it''s hard to imagine how much effort that involves, but he''s doing an amazing job—and Hyun-hee, whom we met at the Gap Year headquarters last year after a long time and who ran a program so well for our team! Thank you all for everything. :)
