#Discovered the joy of sharing #Relieved vague fears about life #Found great comfort while looking at the Eiffel Tower

But, because I spent my energy for someone else rather than myself,I had never thought about what makes me happy aside from the joy of giving.
-Paris, France — Gap Year Stay / Kim Narae, gap-year traveler (gapper) / 8-week gap year |
A gap year chosen to discover the happiness within me.

The main reason I wanted to take a gap year was that I wanted to know myself.
For me, university life was all about volunteer work. Volunteering gave direction to my life, and
was the source of my energy. I was so happy to be someone who could give to others.
But, because I spent my energy for someone else rather than myself,I had never thought about what makes me happy aside from the joy of giving.
Also, I had long been interested in running a guesthouse..Since I was interested in youth welfare, I wanted to turn the ''Paris Gap Year Stay'' into a job project for troubled/delinquent youth, and so I chose ''Paris Gap Year Stay.''
myselfThe gap year that made me stronger.

In Paris2I came expecting that two months of life in Paris would be the most joyful moments of my life, but it wasn''t always as fun and happy as I thought.. Looking back, when I mentored young people, when teaching classes, when volunteering,I realized I was happiest when I was with children with disabilities..
When I go back, I plan not to worry about other career paths anymore..If I hadn''t experienced the gap year, I would have continued to worry about these concerns..Realizing clearly that I am someone who finds the greatest happiness in giving to others made me stronger..
Life''sFinding the cause of vague fears.

Through my gap year I was able to dispel my vague fears..
My peers have now graduated,They are either preparing for employment or are already employed. When my classmates get together, we always say things like, ''I''ve already graduated, but it doesn''t seem to suit me,'',and that we don''t know what we want to do..
After graduating from the social welfare department, not knowing what I wanted to do was a dilemma.
I knew clearly what I wanted to do, but I was also anxious. What would happen if I gave up halfway,Wouldn''t I get tired?,I wondered whether what I really wanted was probation..Because of that, I couldn''t give my friends any advice, and I couldn''t even advise myself..
But I realized this while meeting travelers here who had quit everything they were doing..
If it doesn''t suit you,you can bravely quit.,that you can travel or take on challenges to regain your strength. That too much thinking and worrying makes you not know what you want to dothat.!
For me, a gap year is a pause in life to face and meet myself.

I thought that the Eiffel Tower''s having endured hardships and becoming beloved worldwide was possible because behind its glamorous exterior there was sturdiness.Because of that, looking at the Eiffel Tower I strengthened my will, felt hope, and sometimes took comfort from it like from a friend.
To me, a gap year in Paris, France was through experiences in a foreign country an opportunity to ask myself questions, answer them, and meet another me.As I faced myself, discovering myself.Thiswas my pause,I was very happy to be able to grow through my gap year.
My gap year was
an experience ★★★★★
If you''re in the guesthouse business, you can see the business structure in detail. Also, meeting many guests lets you discover another side of yourself, so I''m confident it will be a valuable experience.
In Paris there are many new challenges, such as public transportation, finding your way, and meeting people from other countries.
Learning ★★★★★
From the people I met around France, I learned to relax and how to enjoy life.
Environment ★★★☆☆
Because the guesthouse is frequented by many people, I think it''s difficult to spend gap-year time inside. It can.To have time alone, I recommend going out and finding somewhere on your own..
Safety ★★★★★
Paris isn''t that dangerous. When the metro is crowded I don''t ride it; I let it go first and carry my bag in front and be careful—
With a little attention, such as carrying your bag in front, dangerous incidents won''t occur.
Leisure ★★★★★
Because each person has a different travel style and different things they want to experience,it''s important to know what you want to do.
