JihyeAbove allmeeting strangers, having to debate and express my opinionsI felt awkward and was at a loss about what to do.But the instructor guided us well, so it proceeded easily and I started to enjoy itI regretted not doing this earlier and only having focused on school life.
Heeji To be honest, I was scared at first.Because debate or the humanitieswere things I hadn''t tried FearI had.
But once I tried it, I loved it.First of all, I enjoyed reading itself, and while talking with people, I couldorganize my thoughtsfrom various angles so I liked it.

Q.On the other handWhat was difficult about participating?
Heeji We had to think about and discuss things we hadn''t considered before, and at first it was hard to provide evidence and present materials to persuade others about the ideas I wanted to express..Afterwards, because I made an effort to think in advance about what to argue, the book contents, and the discussion topics, in conclusion, the amount of thinkingincreased.
Q. Was there anything rewarding about participating?
Ji-hye It was a difficult book that I wouldn''t have thought to read, but on this occasion,by reading it I feel like I''ve become more cultured? (laughs)And I used to think the humanities were boring, but now this placeand that place are permeated [by them]I realized they are present.. FinallyThrough debates, by listening to myself speak, I also realized what I was lacking..
Heeji Through this class, I readabout 10books..Since I hardly ever read, it hurt my head a bit at first. It was a bit difficult having to think about things I hadn''t considered before, but gradually it led me to think about what I''m lacking and how to improve, allowing me to contemplate issues that I really need to address now.
Q.''Jaegle Jaegle Humanities Debate''Would you recommend this to these kinds of students!?
Ji-hye If a university freshman takes it, I think it would help when thinking about what I''ll do in the future.Because seeing examples of people who developed through the humanities made me think it''s important to be exposed to it early.
