#Why I joined the gap year
Hello.I am 24-year-old Yoon Seung-su, who completed my military service.
While serving in the military, I thought about doing something different after discharge.I wanted to do that.
While looking for travel options after leaving the militaryI came across a gap year program,
I chose New Zealand, a country with the opposite seasons,I went on an environmental conservation volunteer program in New Zealand.
#Gap year alone! Prepare together!
A gap year isIt''s a trip you take alone, but the preparation was handled by Korea Gap Year, they guided me step by step, so there were no problems.

#Ability to adapt in new environments
The ability to adapt well to new environmentsI wanted to develop it, and while volunteering,I was able to meet many people and have a lot of fun.

#The other side of New Zealand''s great outdoors
They pick you up in the morning from the assigned hostel. Pickup is around 8 AM and they drop you back at the hostel around 3 PM.Although New Zealand is known for its great nature, I realized it''s actually still fighting significant environmental destruction — that changed my perspective.
The locals who participate in the volunteer activities change every day, and at the hostel you can also meet many travelers, working holidaymakers, and students.

#Hesitating because of English? Just give it a try.
If you''re worried because you lack confidence in English, just go for it.When you actually get there, you''ll find that the willingness to communicate matters more than your English skills. If you''re hesitating to travel abroad alone because of English, don''t worry—just go.
#My gap year story
A person who wanted a different experience finished feeling satisfied and is already looking forward to the next time.Travel tip: On New Zealand''s North Island, it''s much more efficient and convenient to get around by renting a car.

#My change: 9/10! I gained confidence.
The New Zealand environmental conservation volunteer projectIt helped me a lot in transforming my life.(9 out of 10)
After my gap year, I feel like I''ve become confident in everything.
