# Preparing for the Malaysia language study!
Since it was an experience living in a new place, not Korea, and studying English, I packed my things and researched various information in advance!
And I departed determined to achieve my Gap Year goal of growing my interest in English and returning with a more positive mindset!
# In the local area, I spent time with foreign friends trying to listen to each other''s English and looking out for one another!
I continuously felt the good aspects during this Malaysia language study project, butBecause the foreign friends attending classes with me were also there to learn English, even when conversational mistakes happened they tried to listen to each other, and taking care of one another was the best part!
There were also many Japanese friends, as well as Kyrgyz and Arab friends, and we all hung out and had lots of fun parties, which I also liked haha
# A day in the Malaysia language study project!
Generally, in the morning we did group activities and individual study using textbooks. In the afternoon we took TOEIC classes individually and in groups. After that, it was free time.
# Don''t be afraid, enjoy it!
Through this Malaysian language study, I really felt that my confidence in English and my ability to get along with people improved a lot!!So if there are young people considering studying abroad,Don''t be afraid, just enjoy it!
Oh! And if you go to Malaysia, be sure to visit the National Mosque and the Pink Mosque! They were really, really beautiful! :)
#My Malaysia Language Study Preparation Tips!
- Language
: Using conversation-English apps like the English practice app (ca*e) or getting familiar with them will really help you a lot while you''re doing language study abroad!
- Accommodation
: Living together in accommodation helps you naturally get close with your housemates, and you can fully enjoy a really fun experience! Don''t be afraid, just enjoy it!
- Meals
: While staying at your accommodation you can order delivery food, but I recommend cooking yourself and sharing with your housemates!
- Packing list
: When you go to Malaysia for language study, bring items like your phone charger and an umbrella! Also pack clothes suitable for the country''s climate. Try not to bring too many clothes if possible — your laundry pile grows and you''ll end up wearing the same clothes anyway! Haha. And don''t buy charging adapters in Korea; buying them locally gives faster phone charging speeds!
My gap year is!
Experience★★★★★
: It was a truly wonderful experience to encounter Malaysian culture, tourist spots, and people from various countries!
