PROJECT ACTIVITIES
This is a month-long project in Chiang Mai, a city of relaxed leisure and art, where you can enjoy learning English and take a break from your routine. The school where the project takes place combines classrooms, accommodation, restaurants, and a large swimming pool with amenities all in one campus, making it easy to enjoy both studying English and living in Chiang Mai. This is not just a month-long stay but a chance to learn vibrant English with friends from around the world in the morning and immerse yourself in the charm of Chiang Mai in the afternoon, boosting both your English skills and happiness by 1000%!
Project Schedule
- Option A (15 hours per week): With approximately 3 hours of relaxed class time per day, you can enjoy your free time in the afternoons.
- Option B (25 hours per week): A course recommended for those who want to focus more intensively on learning English through additional classes.
* Both A and B options allow you to interact with international friends from various cultures and build your English skills through high-quality classes. Choose the class that best suits your preferences and goals!

Additional Information on Activities
- Based on the class hours, you can participate in either Option A (15 lessons per week) or Option B (25 lessons per week).
- The project starts every Monday, allowing you to join according to your preferred schedule. On the first day, there will be an orientation about the school, classes, local living, and travel information. You will also receive a welcome pack containing a booklet, schedule, notebook, and test results.
- Classes will focus on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, and improving communication abilities.
- Classes are conducted with international friends from Europe, the Americas, Asia, etc. (average about 5-10% Korean students), creating an environment where you can freely communicate in English.
- Classes are conducted in small groups of about 6-8 students, with a maximum of 12, allowing for focused attention on each participant.

ACCOMMODATION INTRODUCTION
Enjoy the feeling of being at a resort in a beautiful traditional house accommodation surrounded by the stunning scenery of Chiang Mai! The on-campus dormitories have all the facilities you need, including classrooms, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a badminton court, and a coffee bar, all conveniently located in one place. The rooms are private with a balcony and en-suite bathroom, and are equipped with basic furniture and appliances such as bedding, air conditioning, TV, wardrobe, and a table. Meals are provided at the on-campus restaurant with Thai cuisine for breakfast and lunch, and you can choose to add dinner options according to your preference.

* If you wish to have three meals a day, you can add this option above. Note that there are no cooking facilities available in the accommodation.
* Meals are provided only on weekdays, and you are free to dine at local restaurants on weekends.
* Generally, check-in occurs on the weekend before the project starts and check-out on the weekend after the project ends. The standard is 7 nights for one week and 30 nights for one month.
* The dormitories are popular and tend to fill up quickly, so it is recommended to apply in advance.
LOCATION INTRODUCTION
Location: Thailand, Chiang Mai
If we compare Thailand to Korea, Bangkok would be like Seoul, and Chiang Mai would be like Gyeongju. Unlike Bangkok’s busy traffic and hectic pace, Chiang Mai is relaxed and serene, with its own unique charm that attracts many foreigners to live there for extended periods. Chiang Mai, known for its affordable cost of living and friendly people, strikes a good balance between foreigners and locals. During the day, you can explore the magnificent temples adorned with gold and the tranquil villages, while at night, you can enjoy the vibrant night markets, which seem to have everything the world offers.

* For popular projects, there might not be availability, so please apply as soon as possible if you want to participate on specific dates.
* Particularly between June and September, which is the vacation season, many people participate in internships worldwide, so please apply early if you wish to join during this period!
■ Payment in Installments
If full payment is difficult, please pay a registration fee of 500,000 KRW in advance and settle the remaining amount within 2 weeks. The process for confirming your participation will start from the date the registration fee is paid, and we will check the availability and confirmation. To ensure participation on your desired dates and periods, securing a spot as early as possible is crucial! (No refunds once participation is confirmed)
* However, if the start date is approaching, the schedule for settling the remaining balance may vary depending on the situation.
■ Early Bird Discount and Emergency Application
We recommend applying for all gap year projects at least 3 months before the project start date to allow for proper processing and preparation. Applications should be made no later than 2 months before the start date. However, if you need to apply urgently, we offer an emergency application service for an additional fee, which will expedite the processing as much as possible.
* While we will assist with expedited processing, please note that there is time required for communication with the local organization and confirmation of participation. All procedures will follow the same process as regular applications, so those using the emergency application service must actively cooperate with the Korea Gap Year operation team.
** Applicants who apply at least 180 days before the start date will receive an Early Bird Discount.
