    Program Introduction

Help America’s wild horses live freely on the wide plains!

본 프로젝트는 a wild horse sanctuary in Orlando, Floridacaring for horses in need of healing,a volunteer program that helps socialize them so they can live with humans. You'll enjoy spending time with these large, beautiful companions.

The American wild horse called the 'mustang'played a major role in the development of the United States into what it is today.Much work and transportation relied on the power of horses. But as society modernized, horses gradually lost their place,Wild horse numbers, which were nearly two million in the early 1900s, have dwindled to only about 40,000 today, many of which are in dangerous situations.

To address these problems, the Orlando wild horse sanctuaryhas established a refuge for wild horses. They provide a comfortable and safe place for the horses so they can regain health, rebuild relationships with humans, and ultimately be adopted into loving homes. Please join us in helping the wild horses heal!

Most of the American wild horses at the sanctuary were rescued from harsh conditions andmemories of life-threatening momentsthat they carry. Of course, they have not formed bonds with humans, and many are fearful of people.

Participants in this project will live with the sanctuary's horses and play an important role in showing them that there are kind, trustworthy humans. They help socialize the wild horses and patiently give them time to open up and come closer.By slowly spending time and getting closer, you may witness the healing process as the wild horses' wounds begin to mend.
