*This project is intended for foreign participants.

Pu-erh teaAre you familiar with it?

Pu-erh tea is a fermented tea made and enjoyed by ethnic minorities in Yunnan, south of the Himalayas, and it undergoes fermentation over time.

At first it was an unfamiliar tea in our country, but recently it has appeared frequently in visual media and become known for being effective for dieting, so many people are seeking out Pu-erh tea.

Pu-erh tea, which is thought to share its origins with the history of tea itself, has a deep provenance and is rich in a variety of natural substances formed through the fermentation of tea leaves.

If you drink properly fermented Pu-erh tea regularly, you may experience clearer thinking, a warming of the body, and a calming effect on the mind.

Are your body and mind exhausted from the stress of a repetitive daily routine?

If so, enjoy Pu-erh tea at the Jeju Tea House, where the air is fresh, and have relaxed conversations with others.

If you fully enjoy the tea, you will feel your mental and physical fatigue ease and experience refreshment and renewed vitality.

Along with the recent popularity of Pu-erh tea, tea culture has also become loved by many people.

Tea ceremonyIt refers to the etiquette of brewing and serving tea to guests, and the culture of brewing and drinking tea.

Through the tea ceremony, you can train your mind and clear your spirit. Try brewing and drinking Pu-erh tea yourself for a new experience!

    About the Provider

The organization responsible for this course is located in Pyoseon, Jeju, where you can enjoy certified-quality Pu'er tea and zisha (Yixing) teapots.

The institution introduces and recommends a variety of teas to visitors in a relaxed atmosphere.

For visitors to the tea house, we professionally brew tea according to its type and characteristics and recommend a tea suited to each visitor's situation.

The local staff running the institution have completed a tea expert course and are tea masters who have visited tea-producing regions several times.

Talk with the staff not only about tea but also about everyday life to reduce stress and regain a healthy lifestyle.

Relaxing and chatting comfortably at the institution while drinking plenty of tea will relieve mental and physical fatigue, leaving you feeling refreshed and reenergized.

    ■ Recommended destinations

    1. Pyoseon Beach

Pyoseon Beach is famous for its beautiful white sand. Its wide sandbar looks like a round white beach at low tide and like a shallow, emerald-colored circular lake at high tide, creating a beautiful landscape. Because the water is shallow, it is perfect for people of all ages to enjoy water activities. Nearby are the Jeju Folk Village and Jeju Herb Garden, so we recommend visiting them when you come to the beach.

    2. Cheonjeyeon Falls

Cheonjeyeon Falls is formed where the Jungmuncheon stream, which begins at Hallasan, flows toward the sea. It is divided into three waterfalls: the first falls from a columnar-jointed cliff into Cheonjeyeon, while the second and third were formed as Cheonjeyeon's waters flow further downstream. All three falls have emerald-colored water, making them extremely beautiful. Visitors come to the falls to capture the picturesque scenery in photographs.

    3. Bijarim Forest

Bijarim is a place full of ancient mystery, where yew trees aged 500 to 800 years grow naturally, making it a rare site even worldwide. You can encounter a variety of trees, from lightning-struck trunks to massive old trees that reveal the passage of time. As a result, a pleasant fragrance spreads from the forest entrance. If you walk along the refreshing trail filled with phytoncides, you'll naturally fall in love with the charms of forest bathing.
