About the Area
Phillip Island is an island in southern Australia located about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Melbourne. This area was once home to more than ten species of penguins, but due to early settlers the ecosystem was destroyed and the other penguins all left, little penguinsleaving only the little penguins. However, due to penguin and ecosystem protection efforts that began in the early 1930s, it has now become a comfortable home not only for penguins but also for a variety of animals such as koalas and seals.Experience Australia's beautiful nature—green meadows, blue seas, and clear skies—on Phillip Islandto your heart's content! At dusk, finishing the day with the adorable parade of penguins returning home from the sea will be an unforgettable experience.
