    Accommodation information

If a project participant has difficulty finding accommodation,

Korea Gap Year recommends accommodations (guesthouses/hotels, etc.) near the internship location.

    1. Homestay

A foreign student can stay with an ordinary family in the country where they are studying and learn the country's culture and language. Living together with the family allows them to improve language skills through communication and to understand the lifestyle, values, and cultural practices of the people in that country.

    2. Guesthouse

A guesthouse is an accommodation where the kitchen, bathroom, and shower are shared. Rooms can be assigned as four-person rooms or six- to eight-person rooms, with several people sharing a single room. When traveling briefly to another country, people often stay in guesthouses and share stories and travel information with various travelers during short encounters.

    3. Apartment share

Apartment sharing is a type of accommodation in which about five to six international students rent a house together and live communally. Depending on the condition of the house, you can choose a private room or share a room with one friend as roommates. Unlike homestay, it is not a family setting; residents share household tasks such as meals, cleaning, and laundry with friends. It has the advantage of living and socializing with friends from various countries.

    Travel Information

    Region:France, Paris

    1. Barbizon

It is a village located in the southern region about an hour south of Paris, France. The painter Millet, who spent his final years in Barbizon, stayed here and painted famous works such as "The Angelus" and "The Gleaners." If you visit, you can actually see beans being cultivated in the green potato fields that served as the background for the artist's work "The Angelus."

The landscape is so beautiful and quaint that painters migrated here and stayed; the village as a whole bears artistic traces. Why not visit the house where the artist Millet lived and bring back artistic inspiration?

    2. Mont Saint-Michel Castle

Mont Saint-Michel Castle is a strange castle on a small island near the coast of Normandy in northwestern France. It is a solitary ancient fortress floating above the vast sea with a mirage-like mystery. Mont Saint-Michel took as long as 800 years to be completed and is currently used as an abbey. It became the setting for the famous Japanese animated film Howl's Moving Castlewhich further emphasized its image as a mysterious island. Enjoy the mysterious charm of this castle yourself!

    3. Eiffel Tower

I remember what actor Shin Goo said when he saw the Eiffel Tower on the show "Grandpas Over Flowers." When the Eiffel Tower was first built, many Parisians called it a huge eyesore and argued that it should be removed, but over time it was reinterpreted and its value was recognized, and now it is the landmark that comes to mind first when you think of Paris. Many love stories unfold beneath the Eiffel Tower, and travelers from around the world come to admire its night view, dreaming of romance. Go see the Eiffel Tower, whose honorable value has been recognized over time!
