This is a local content planner stay project where you live with local youth in Gangjin and directly plan and run village festivals and community activities. Rather than simply traveling around the area or participating in a short experience program, participants actually stay in Gangjin, share daily life with local young people, explore the village in various places, and discover the region’s hidden resources and stories. You can also directly experience the process of brainstorming new ideas that highlight the region’s charm and potential with local creators, and bringing them to life. You can also plan village festivals and cultural programs, or create new community activities that bring people together. You’ll share ideas, meet people, and experience every stage of a project together, from planning to execution. By mingling with young people from diverse regions, creating projects, and collaborating, you can build new relationships and gain inspiration, bringing to life projects you have only kept in your heart until now.
Mission 1: Enjoy the region while creating the project you truly want.
Mission 2: Become a community planner who brings people together.
1. Discover your potential and experience your own project turning into real content.
In Gangjin, there are people who break free from the repetitive routine of moving between apartments and offices in the city and are creating their own unique lives. A diverse group of young people have gathered here to live in the countryside, taking on work they truly enjoy—such as farming, running a distillery, and operating a café—and creating new possibilities. In Gangjin, it’s not just a place to stay for a short time, but where you can personally start your own local stay that you have always held close to your heart. By working with a professional local creator who understands the area more deeply than anyone else, you can turn vague ideas into concrete projects, plan programs that make use of the area’s charm and resources, or create new gatherings and community activities that connect people. Exploring various parts of the region, listening closely to the stories of residents, and experiencing every step of the process from planning to execution firsthand, my ideas gradually become reality. Above all, this process is not just a simple experience, but a time to discover the way of life you want and the possibilities within yourself. Through the experience of building relationships with new people and growing together with the community, Gangjin gradually moves beyond a passing travel destination to become another hometown and a special place that inspires dreams of new challenges.
2. Share daily life and mingle in warmhearted Gangjin, creating new relationships and special memories.
Here, even with people you meet only once or twice, you naturally ask how they are and exchange greetings. You may walk through the neighborhood, happen to meet neighbors you know, talk with them, and invite each other over to share a meal and build affection. It is a place where a warm community lives and breathes, willingly extending a helping hand whenever someone needs it, and accepting one another as friends and neighbors regardless of background or age. The regional director working on the project with us has been active in Gangjin for many years, connecting local residents and young people. Thanks to that, even people visiting Gangjin for the first time don’t spend too much time feeling unfamiliar or awkward. You naturally meet people, build relationships, and before you know it, it seeps into the everyday life of the community. By interacting with young entrepreneurs, farmers, and a variety of local residents in areas that would have been difficult to reach alone, sharing stories, daily life, and the process of building projects together, they meet friends and strong neighbors who will stay in their memories long beyond a simple connection. Meeting in Gangjin is not a fleeting connection, but an experience of people genuinely connecting with one another.
3. Recharge your body and mind, reflect on yourself, and discover new strength to guide your life.
Spending time in Gangjin, away from our usual neighborhood, is far more special than we had imagined. In the blue sea, the vastness of nature, and the slow but warmly flowing everyday life, meeting new people and spending time together, you gradually come face to face with the self that had been hidden behind the busyness of life. In familiar surroundings, you naturally come to discover aspects of yourself you hadn’t realized before, what you truly love, moments of deep focus, and what brings you the greatest joy and meaning when doing something. By exploring the region, listening to people’s stories, and directly planning and running communities, you can discover new possibilities and meet a more mature version of yourself. Sometimes, solving unexpected problems, laughing and talking with people, and creating special memories become more than just an activity—they become my own valuable asset. Every moment spent together reflecting, challenging, and creating leads to new relationships and learning, and through that process, one gains confidence in oneself and a fresh perspective. Time in Gangjin is not just a brief respite, but a time to fill the weary body and mind with peace and to discover new directions and possibilities that will enrich your life moving forward.
