This project is a place where you can leave your body and mind to the wind blowing and the waves crashing in the sea of Gangneung, Gangwon-do. The accommodations located in front of the beach, a cup of coffee in hand, and a peaceful space embraced by nature, surfing will feel more familiar and approachable than ever before. Put aside the busy and fast life in the city for a while and live each day at your own pace.
We offer a well-structured surfing program designed for complete beginners to join with confidence. Our professional instructors kindly guide you step-by-step from the basics, making it easy even for those new to surfing. This location is one of the safest beginner spots on the Gangwon-do coast. From beginner lessons to advanced sessions for those looking to improve their skills, we provide programs tailored to your level so you can enjoy surfing.
We have shared spaces with beautiful ocean views specially prepared for surfers. After a full day of surfing, you can recharge your body and mind with healthy meals and warm coffee provided by the facility. Spend a sunny afternoon relaxing and when evening comes, enjoy some time for yourself in the quiet accommodation. It’s a chance to fully embrace freedom and leisure while becoming one with nature.
This project is a project where you can take surfing lessons in Gangneung, Gangwon-do and enjoy surfing as much as you want. Participants can stay for as short as a 1-night (2 days) experience or up to 4 weeks, learning to surf and exploring Gangneung. We provide beginner lessons for those new to surfing, as well as level-up classes for those who want to learn more professionally. Boards, suits, and shower facilities are all included in the program.

Q. Can I surf even if I can’t swim?
A. Yes! The wetsuits provide enough buoyancy to keep you afloat, allowing you to enjoy surfing safely. Before entering the water, thorough safety instructions are given, and professional instructors will be with you at all times.
Q. Are shower amenities provided?
A. Yes, the facility provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels.
Q. Can I surf after check-out?
A. Absolutely. You are welcome to surf after check-out, and surfers can use the shower facilities free of charge.
Q. What should I bring?
A. Please bring a swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit, personal toiletries, and sunscreen.
If you have a rubber or latex allergy, we recommend bringing a rash guard.
Q. Can I rent equipment without taking lessons?
A. For safety reasons, equipment rental is only available to those who have previously completed surfing lessons.
Q. Can I surf in rainy or bad weather?
A. Surfing is possible unless there are severe weather warnings such as high wind, heavy rain, or typhoons that prohibit entering the water.
Lesson times may be adjusted depending on local sea conditions such as weather, waves, and tides.
The facility also operates an ocean-view café where you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while overlooking the sea.
Pets are allowed at the café.
Check-in time is 3 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM.
For safe and structured lessons, the instructor-to-student ratio is limited to 1 instructor per 5 students.
The facility is located about an 18-minute drive from Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal and Gangneung Station (KTX), and is also accessible via the Gangneung city tour bus.
To ensure smooth scheduling and lessons, please make your reservation at least one week in advance.

The organization running this project is the very first surfing school to pioneer surfing culture at Sacheon Beach in Gangwon-do. It was also the first surfing school to introduce a surfing education program into university courses, promoting a proper surfing culture. They strives to provide a rest close to nature to people who are tired of repetitive daily life.

Gyeongpodae
One of Gangneung’s most famous sunrise spots. On clear days, it's said that you can see five moons reflected in the lake and sea. The view of Gyeongpo Lake and the ocean together creates a stunning backdrop, making it a popular place for walks and photography.

A seaside street full of charm, where you can sip coffee while gazing at the sea. Unique cafés line the beachfront, each with its own atmosphere — perfect for enjoying a relaxing moment with a cup in hand.
Ojukheon
The birthplace of Yulgok Yi I, a scholar of the Joseon Dynasty. Yulgok Yi I and his mother, Shin Saimdang are both prominent historical figures featured on Korean banknotes (₩5,000 and ₩50,000). This traditional house and garden offer a peaceful glimpse into Korean heritage.
