100% paid internship & gap year special offerGrab it!

Project process

* During interviews for internship placement, if a participant's English level requires more language study, they may be offered an additional study period; individual consultation and guidance will be provided in advance.

When preparing for a Working Holiday, people try to secure English, foreign friends, jobs, and money, but those who have already gone say it's 'not easy.' In particular, if you don't find a job early on you naturally become anxious, and a job taken in that anxious state may be unstable, preventing you from fully enjoying the remaining time.

Because you're investing limited time and your youth, so that you can successfully achieve everything through a Working Holiday, the organizers who have personally done Working Holidays have designed a program optimized for you.

The paid internships prepared by GapYear arerun through a professional internship organization that connects over 200 students each year.Because of this, you can secure a job more reliably. 'Working' — that is, a stable working environment — must be guaranteed in order to enjoy the 'holiday'! We connect you with 100% paid internships with guaranteed wages at four-star and above hotels and resorts across Australia.

For a six-month internship, the average total income is about AUD 20,000, and even after covering all expenses in Australia such as airfare, project fees, job placement fees, accommodation, and transportation, you would have about KRW 12,000,000 remaining.(*Individual results may vary depending on expenses.)

Although initial costs are incurred like this, ultimately all expenses can be covered by your own means, and in factprepare the followingorspare funds to enjoy a 'holiday'can even be acquired.

Meanwhile, this internship program is at hotels and resorts, that is,working in the tertiary industry sector of hospitalityand can be an opportunity to continue a related career.

Join Gap Year’s ambitiously prepared project, which allows you to prepare for what comes next rather than simply ending as a one-year overseas experience!

Many people preparing for a working holiday wonder whether language school is necessary. The saying 'your English will automatically improve if you work' is somewhat true but largely incorrect. To quickly improve your English, Input (listening, reading) and Output (speaking, writing) must be balanced.

Studying at a local language school while working maximizes the Input (listening, reading) and Output (speaking, writing) process. Even if you make a big decision in Korea, there are limits because you are not exposed to English, but overseas—where English is part of daily life—the process of listening, speaking, and learning is repeated countless times naturally. Instead of studying from books, use, feel, and learn directly and immerse yourself in a world where the entire environment is English—an experience you couldn't have in Korea.

Especially if you find studying alone in Korea difficult or overwhelming, actively take advantage of the local environment and experiences. You will feel that the perceived speed of progress is different. Remember that all the time you spend on a working holiday becomes time during which English is automatically learned!

A working holiday is an attractive option because you can work abroad to earn money while building English skills, travel, and your career. However, systematic support is essential to fully take advantage of these opportunities. Gap Year provides the necessary conditions and practical processes to help those preparing for a working holiday challenge it more successfully.

A working holidayis all about whether you can 'easily' find a job initially or notThat's everything. Once you secure a job, you can use your income to find accommodation, settle in, and pursue travel and language learning. On the other hand, if you fail to find a job, you may face difficulties in living, settling, and language learning, preventing you from achieving your plans.Gap YearTo help alleviate these difficulties,we design programs focusing on securing high-paying jobs, improving English proficiency, developing international careers, and making foreign friendsWe are doing this. Working holidays are a challenging process. Make sure to secure a job before you leave.

Move Forward

I earn money at real Australian companies, participate in projects, and gain genuine practical experience. I can become financially independent by earning my travel and living expenses myself. Based on this experience, I create a global resume and portfolio. There are difficult moments, but overall I'm really happy. I feel a great sense of accomplishment knowing I can shape the previously vague future through my own efforts. I'm surprised and delighted at myself for taking on challenges fearlessly in unfamiliar environments. Travel and daily life flow together naturally, and I realize I can find happiness anywhere. I often find myself thinking, 'Life is worth living.' Instead of following a fixed way of traveling, I develop the ability to plan trips according to my own standards and sensibilities. Through the realization 'I can do this too,' I discover my potential. Based on this experience, my ability to design and lead my life going forward grows. I have deep conversations with working holidaymakers from various countries, understanding each other's cultures and perspectives and broadening my horizons.

Accommodation

1. Homestay

Foreign students can live with a local family in the host country and learn the country's culture and language. They live together with the family, improving language skills through communication, and this type of accommodation helps them understand the lifestyle, values, and cultural practices of the local people.

2. Guesthouse

A guesthouse is an accommodation where the kitchen, toilet, and shower are shared. Rooms may be assigned as 4-person or 6–8-person rooms, with several guests sharing one room. When traveling briefly to another country, people often stay in guesthouses and meet various travelers, sharing stories and travel information during short encounters.

3. Apartment Share

An apartment share is an accommodation arrangement where about 5–6 international students rent a house and live together. Depending on the condition of the house, you can choose a private room or share a room with one roommate. Unlike a homestay, it is not a family setting: meals, cleaning, laundry, and other household chores are shared among the residents. It has the advantage of allowing you to live with friends from various countries.
