PROJECT INTRODUCTION

The homestay is located approximately 40 minutes from the school by public transport and about 20 minutes from the city center. Meals are provided by the homestay host.

Edinburgh, the second city in the UK with the highest economic independence after London, is a financial hub and a city where many executives, lawyers, civil servants, students, and artists live. It is the administrative, cultural, and economic center of Scotland. Edinburgh is one of Europe's preferred cities, hosting world-renowned festivals such as the Fringe Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, and Art Festival, attracting European visitors each year. The city remains vibrant with artists and travelers from around the world throughout the year.
Edinburgh Castle
Edinburgh Castle is one of the must-visit landmarks in Edinburgh. It is the castle that inspired J.K. Rowling while imagining Hogwarts for the Harry Potter series. Originally built around the 7th century, it has undergone continuous expansions to achieve its majestic current form. The castle has served as a fortress defending Edinburgh, a royal palace ruling Scotland, and now a grand stage for festivals. It has witnessed all the triumphs and trials of this city over a millennium.
Edinburgh International Festival
The Edinburgh International Festival, held annually in August in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a collective term for several cultural and arts festivals. It was initially started to heal the nation after World War II, and has now risen to become a global festival with participants from around the world, including South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
During the festival, the Edinburgh Castle hosts performances by military bands and Highland dancers. Various street arts and performances take place throughout the city. World-class performances are held daily at several venues in Edinburgh, including Usher Hall, The Queen’s Hall, and Festival Theater during the festival period.

■ Installment Payment Information
For those who have difficulty paying the full amount, you can make an initial deposit of 500,000 KRW and pay the remaining balance within 2 weeks. The process to confirm project participation will begin based on the date of the deposit, and we will check availability and the number of spots. To secure a spot on your desired date and duration, prompt booking is essential! (No refunds once confirmed.)
* Please note that if the start date is approaching, the schedule for the final payment may vary depending on the situation.
■ Early Bird Discounts and Urgent Application Information
We recommend applying for all Gap Year projects at least 3 months before the project start date due to the normal processing procedures and preparation time. As a principle, applications should be submitted no later than 2 months before the start date. However, if you need to apply urgently, we offer an urgent application service for an additional fee to expedite the process as much as possible.
* While we strive to expedite the process, basic time for communication with the local organization and confirmation of participation is required. Therefore, urgent applicants should cooperate actively with the Korea Gap Year operations team.
** Those who apply at least 180 days before the start date can receive an Early Bird discount.
