LOCATION INTRODUCTION
Location : Italy, Rome
The phrase “All roads lead to Rome” reflects the significance of Rome, the heart of the vast Roman Empire that once dominated the world. It is a city filled with various historical ruins. Even today, you can find remnants of the grandeur and historical traces of Rome scattered throughout the city.
Rome was also the center of the Renaissance, where many artists left behind extraordinary works. Today, millions of people visit Rome to see Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the city itself is like a museum.
But Rome is not all about art. Besides pizza and spaghetti, you can enjoy a variety of gourmet dishes, and the mild Mediterranean climate makes traveling comfortable. Plus, the friendly and warm people make you feel at home in Rome.
Recommended Places to Visit
01 Trevi Fountain
One of Rome’s landmarks featured in many films like "Roman Holiday." It is the largest Baroque-style fountain in Rome. At the famous Trevi Fountain, you will see many tourists throwing coins. According to legend, if you toss a coin over your left shoulder with your right hand, your wish will come true or you will return to Rome. The coins thrown into the fountain are used for the restoration and preservation of Roman cultural heritage, so make a wish at the Trevi Fountain!
02 Vatican City
The smallest city-state in the world. Located within the city of Rome, but being an independent country is quite unique. Despite its small size, it is home to many renowned sites like the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel famous for Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes, and St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world. It’s always crowded with tourists, so planning your visit is essential.
03 Roman Forum
An ancient site located in the heart of Rome’s old town. It was the center of politics, economics, and religion, housing many significant buildings of the ancient Roman Empire, such as temples, triumphal arches, and basilicas. Today, it is in ruins, with only remnants and a few columns remaining, but it allows you to vividly feel the glory of the Roman Empire. The view of the Roman Forum from the Palatine Hill is spectacular, so grab a gelato and hike up the hill to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
